Think Lawwell has definitely spoke to him about his post match words. Advertising players are unsettled inevitably lowers price. A lot of what he said after the game would have stemmed from high emotions at the time so I’m hoping things will settle over the next wee while. We’ve got the most mentally strong team in the league, packed full of winners who’ve been in this situation before. Get back to business on Sunday and skelp Motherwell - next few weeks are really important so let’s hope the board get a wake up call and strengthen where necessary.

Unlike him to contradict himself in his interviews. He needs to be banned from speaking to the media it's so *

He made a balls up after the game with his comments but I'll put that down to emotion, every manager even the best ones struggle in these situations with players that want away but are needed at the same time. A win on sunday is needed to move on from this situation .

Should be sacked in my opinion..

It's fairly obvious he would've lost a large number of the dressing room and even had our captain Broony stumped at his comment's..

Now he has the main suit's upstairs pulling their hair out at his outburst after already being bewildered no doubt at how he was unable to negotiate that tie and played without a striker..

A helluva lot of damage has been done over the last couple of day's..

Aye management need to use the head a bit more right after games, send out Kennedy to do the post match and give stock answers. Give them no ammo then address issues once it has calmed down a bit.

I think this firmly put's to bed the notion that he has matured as a manger, clearly this is not the case.

I don't think all three will go,the way we sign players and the amount of time it takes us to get deals done, selling those three when we still need work on the defence as it is, would wreck our season.

It's the fact Broony has contradicted Lenny so soon after wednesday nights fiasco.

It's made me think, did he even speak to the players after the game the other night.

That's the kinda rant a manager comes out with in the changing rooms "if you don't want to be here, there's the door" sort of thing.

Surely by the time you speak to media, you've composed yourself and can be more savvy with your words, as you let off all the steam in the changing room

All 3 now have less than 2 years on their contract and if they've intimated that they want to leave then it's best we do it now to get maximum value. That's on the basis that we have adequate replacements to come in for them, which of course is unlikely.

Turnbull can fill Ntcham's place in the squad but we will need another striker if Eddie goes (who will be nowhere near his level) and at least 2 CBs if Ajer goes.

You are being very selective of the truth in your points.

Lennon kept them up in the first season despite their financial issues gradually worsening. The club was broke. He didnt stay for the season in the first division. The performance of the Phil Parkinson who came in bears no reflection on lennon, neither does the fact that he got them promoted from a lesser division to which Lennon was in charge in.

The main Hibs issue was his handling of Kamberi and how he felt his players wasnt giving enough due to their significantly worse performances than tbe season before which culminated in an explosive verbal bust up in a meeting with the players and coaches, with Kamberi having a go back at Lennon feeling unfairly singled out and attacked.
dempster sided with the players and confronted Lennon before affording him his side of the story.

Lennon was suspended as his position was deemed untenable and He got his lawyers involved and received a pay out in full. No wrongdoing was found.

Interestingly the man they brought in was worse and Kamberi barely fancied kicking a ball since.

You completely omit getting hibs promoted and the fact he was playing Celtic and Rangers home and away and coming away with results.

I don't believe for one second that all the players are happy and give 100% every game. But that is not just celtic that is all teams.

Lenny has been a manager now for long enough, he should know better by now, this has severley damaged his credibilty.

CELTIC manager Neil Lennon described Wednesday’s Champions League exit as a blow, but stressed the importance of bouncing back with a good result against Motherwell this weekend.

The nine-in-a-row champions host the Steelmen in Premiership action this Sunday, and the Irishman expects a tough game against a side buoyed by their own European exploits in midweek.

“We’ve had a blow and that’s what it is,” said the manager. “One of our priorities was making in-roads in the Champions League, but it wasn’t by any means down to a bad performance. Let’s get that clear. When you look at it in the cold light of day, if you look at the stats and the performance, we dominated.

“We got caught cold from a bad goal from our point of view, but for the majority of the game, I thought the attitude, the intensity, the tempo of the game was good. It got away from us and it’s a sore one.

“Now we need to move forward. We’ve got a big league campaign ahead of us, we’ve got trophies to defend domestically, and we still have European football which we need to maximise.”

Stephen Robinson’s men travel to Glasgow following an emphatic 5-1 UEFA Europa League first qualifying round win over Glentoran, but will make the journey minus star man, David Turnbull who signed at Paradise this week.

Speaking of his new signing, Neil Lennon said he’s ready to hit the ground running and will feature in his matchday squad against his former employer.

He added: “I’m delighted with bringing in David Turnbull. He’s a brilliant, young Scottish talent. We wanted him this time last year, he’s overcome a number of obstacles and that speaks a lot for his character. I hope he flourishes here.

“I think he’s done brilliantly. We’ve had a look at him over the last few games and he’s got a real touch of class about him, which is a rarity in the modern game. David comes in knowing the values of the club, what it means to the supporters and what it means to the Scottish game. Coming here is exciting for him, it’s a challenge, and I think it’s one that he’s really looking forward to.

“It’s been a bit stop-start for Motherwell this season so far, but Stephen has to keep evolving his team. He loses players every year, he’s lost another one now to us, but he always seems to find a way. They had a brilliant season last year until the pandemic stopped it.

"I think Sunday will be a tough game. Stephen has got some exuberance and some energy in the team, but it’s a game that we want to use to get back on track after the last defeat and get back to winning ways as quickly as possible.”

I think the game against the huns could be massive for Lenny, assuming we get good results between now and then.

I wouldn't disagree with you but the issue is The Captain has come out and contradicted Lenny, that in itself is a worry.
