Some absolute spot on posts @Paul67 . To the word. Naive and stubborn as his tactics and selections display. His relationship with Lawell was never gonna any different from the 1st stint.

A good manager/coach/staff is equally important as any star player. If we were sharper in the recruitment area, any decent coach and his team could organise this squad and win 10iar comfortably.

On a side note. I believe no fans is hurting us a bit as well. 12th man an all. They certainly would.have let Lenny know about it last night.

You expect praise for Lennon(who was unemployed at the time) for taking a highly paid job that loads of GOOD managers would have bitten lawwells hand off for, NAH, not having it

they’ll still be true, if we don’t win the ten with our vastly superior budget Lennon should be tarred and feathered

Some criticism is justifiable but a lot of people are being outright disrespectful towards one of the biggest legends in our clubs history. Its almost like some are happy we lost so they can have a pop at him.

Hopefully Larsson will never take the Celtic job, some entitled fans will be calling him a useless * if we lose a game.

Playing 80mins at home with no striker is stupid and it cost us the game, lenny * up badly and fans are hurting and venting but it will pass im sure.I still think lenny is a good manager but sometimes things need to be said.

Looks like meltdown time on TC. Let's see...

Simplistic story with a single person at fault... check.
Speculation about decisions we aren't privy to and their motivations confidently
    asserted as fact... check.
Self-righteous indignation towards the above person regarding
    the above decisions... check.
Confident prognostications of doom unless we see the error of our ways
and said individual is banished from the realm forever... check.

    Yup, it's a meltdown alright.

So which one was he supposed to play? The injured one? The one that isn't match fit yet? The young project the manager doesn't think is ready yet, or the one that has hardly played a competitive game in over a season due to mental health issues?

Like a lot of other people, I suspected one of those nights as soon as I saw the team, that doesn't mean I think Lenny's incompetent. It means I think he made a difficult decision with a very poor hand not of his making and, yes, he got it wrong.

I honestly blame him less for this than I do for Cluj last year.

Will never agree with he's an * chat etc, bang out of order. However his flaws/failings are becoming more exposed as time goes on. Yes Lazio were good performance and results but far outweighed by poor ones against Cluj, Copenhagen, Ferencvaros and Huns twice. Games can be lost yes, however constant selection issues, tactics, and lack of learning from mistakes compounded by a very unnecessary and poor interview last night highlight a limited coach who has reached his peak.

The game and club have moved on since his first spell and made some progressive choices off the field during BR time in regards to science and fitness. We should have carried this on l, not gone back to the safety of Lawells yes man.

Lennon is a legend and there us no dispute about what he has done for us. But it's time to look forward, whilst Lenny is still revered by fans all over.

Absolutely - Neil was out of work having lost the dressing room at Hibs and got Bolton relegated. Do you think there was a queue of clubs begging to take him on? If he had still been at Hibs - I doubt we would have gone for him and paid compensation. We were 8 points clear in the league with a much better GD than anyone else. I think the job came up at the right time for him - he didn't step in and save the league for us

I haven't read all the comments on here but I haven't seen anyone resorting to personal abuse (if they have it's out of order). Some strong words but I think that's frustration. I wouldn't accuse anyone on here of ever wanting us to lose.

Lennon's past with us does not exempt him from criticism. I think that's part of his problem - he has an exaggerated view of his own ability and can't take it when he criticised - he has a history of throwing players under the bus but Wed night was unbelievable.

Since he returned, there have been a number of matches where his lack of tactical ability has been exposed - Rangers in May 2019, Cluj, Copenhagen, 2 Rangers matches and Livingstone last year along with last Wednesday.

Quite simply - a club of our size and stature needs a better manager than Neil. I hope that he can get us through to 10IAR but this should be his last season with us - he is simply not good enough to take the club forward.

The best outcome is if he could lead us to 10IAR and then move on with the respect of the fans.

To be honest, I wonder how much damage he has done with his comments on Wed night. Anyone who follows soccer knows that Clubs win nothing when they are divided. If he has lost the dressing room (and that will become apparent very quickly if he has) - there is only 1 outcome. The worse case scenario is the club limping along with a clear rift between the manager and the players.

The one that we spent £3.5M on that’s been working his * off during the lockdown/pre-season.

It is of his making. He doesn’t rotate the team or utilise his bench wisely enough which has left us with so many players that aren’t ‘match fit’.

First game of the season we’re 4-0 up vs Hamilton with Edouard already on a hat-trick and it takes until the 86th minute for us to bring on Klimala for Edouard.

Klimala should have been on and getting minutes in his legs as soon as Eddie bagged his third in the 53rd minute. If he was then he’d be a little closer to being ‘match fit’.

The above scenario isn’t a one off either, there’s been countless times in the past year where we’re cruising in a game with new signings or fringe players on the bench who get on for like 5 mins which is pointless really.

Klimala could have deputised and at least had some game time under his belt. He even could have played a half and im sure we could have got a half out of Ajeti.
It was criminal not to play one, but to wait so long when our issues in the final third were so obvious was appalling.

You are kidding yourself a bit here mate, it was a terrible decision and one that didnt work for Lennon in the past.

The first in the line for that game is the manager.

I know you would think we were just the architects of our own downfall or something and that we were in danger of losing our best players. Get over yourself a bit.

Lennon was a lazy appointment and the consequences of that laziness are coming to the fore now.

His press conference today should be interesting unless he passes the buck to Kennedy.
