He was a cheap option by the board who announced his appointment immediately after a cup win so that it went under the radar. I love Lennon as much as the next Celtic man but he’s not up to the job and things will on out continue to deteriorate further whilst he’s in charge.

We've spent all tha KT money bloating our squad with downgrades and players that can't be trusted to play in a 2nd round qualifier.

Criminal waste of money. Only 1 player has slightly improved us and he's on loan. 2 left backs, a centre back, right back, sorro, klimala and so on. We could have signed 2 or 3 to actually improve us.

The midfield is spent also. Calmac is deeper and deeper and less threat in opposition half. Brown slowing down, ntcham is a 1 in 4 guy, rogic missing for months at a time.

We've really * a lot of money on squad players with zero opportunity to impact games.

Now Lennon has chucked them under bus and we will have to try and ship out players and find ANOTHER 4 or 5. Do we trust lennon to bring four or 5 in?

Have to put yesterday behind us, he has the biggest task of his managerial career right now. Pick the players off the floor, the ones he used as human shields in his interview last night .

Just scrolling through again, that first paragraph is the term I was looking for....”yes man”. Say what you will about Rodgers, but I think he was bang on in saying his own ambition for Celtic didn’t match that of the board.

No way he should be sacked, or resign..

Very little margin for error in these qualifiers and the blame stops at his door.

Now, even though its raw we need to rally behind him and he needs to unite the squad again. Because he's going nowhere and this season is too important.

These European results should not be forgotten as we plan for after the 10..

A nerve-racking window now until October

He will have created a huge division within the squad with his comments last night. He's made matters 10x worse.

He will not be sacked or re-sign but he needs to get himself together quickly and start making big decisions if he wants to win the league this year.

The board are going to be pivotal in sorting this fall-out. If they are backing Lennon, then a clear-out needs to happen. If players don't want to be here and are not fully committed then get them sold regardless of their quality. As long as they are replaced with a quality replacement and someone who wants to be here.

We need action now. Not next week or the week after. They need to start fixing the mess today.

The way I see it Lenny seems to need luck on his side to do well in Europe. I think that it's a step too far for him. He's good at SPFL level with a core of good journeymen in the team and given the benefits of playing for Celtic he's always going to attract them. He's assisted by the odd unearthed diamond helping us along. But we can't lay it all at his door as there are other factors here. Players want to leave and like as not he's not going to get what he wants to replace them. We hear all these inflated 4/5 million transfer fees etc but most of that is paper talk. We're shopping in the bargain basement. Irrespective Paddy, Soro etc are his buys ......has he got it wrong?

Let's not forget the impact of COVID. Football without the fans is nothing so they say and maybe we're finding out how true that is. These players are used to being loved and their egos fed by the fans twice a week at least. We validate their specialness to the club and fans. We do it with Lenny too. The whole atmosphere is missing so now they find themselves at a crossroads where doubts about the whole world of football are creeping in. Clubs are cutting their cloth accordingly and the next move has to be thought of giving all the uncertainty. For players they're thinking of how lucrative the next move will be as a playing career can be short. The only folk giving a * about the 10 are us. It means nothing to many of them as there's no sentiment in business as they say.

We've worn out all the old stalwarts and they're getting it tight because of our downward spiral. Something is going very wrong right now as we're struggling to play just about everyone we come up against. If he left Eddy out to cut his nose off to spite his face then Lenny is guilty of negligence. Even in doing that he had 2 strikers on the bench so wouldn't it have been better to play one in each half rather than play folk out of position and heaping pressure on them. The only ones to come out of that last night with any credibility was Moi and Elhamed . Wee Frim came into it too late. The shape of the team was all wrong and Lenny seemed incapable of doing anything about it.

Disagree with your original assessment of Lenny but there is absolutely no need for the reply you got. Why is it people can't give an opinion on here without a bunch of abuse thrown at them?

You can look at the performances of individual players, but it all comes back to the manager, if it is the case that there is division between manager and players then it usually only ends one way.

There's a bigger picture here than just last night, alarm bells have been ringing even in our domestic games.

Our defence is a shambles and it takes us forever to sign a player, even when we do sign someone we get told they are not fit or up to speed, it's farcical and embarrassing for a club of our size to operate the way we do.

Not trying to be an apologist for Lennon but over 20 chances last night was more than enough to win that game comfortably but it didn’t happen, I’m fuming this morning and feel the hurt but all this piling into Lennon is not really on, if we lose 4 or 5 on the bounce aye indeed lets go in hard but a one off cup game that we dominated doesn’t justify this, we haven’t started the season well but there seems a lot going on in the background and 5 months without playing a competitive game has done us no favours as I suspect it hasn’t for all the other SPFL teams, that’s not an excuse just a fact

I look for a reaction on Sunday and am confident we will see one, a few new players need bringing in and as he says himself those that are not onboard 100% for 10 in a row need to go now
