Yes, he moved into the traditional “10” role behind Griff and Klimala when we moved to a diamond midfield. It really suited him as it let him drift into pockets and get more touches higher up the park.

He might not have the physical side to play in such a contested area of the park, but his speed of thought and footwork are definitely suited to the role.

I would be surprised if it's true I know we've knocked back loan bids from down south for him as he will be getting game time this season

Surely not, he's 17, how much could he really expect to play? Especially with his size you're doing him a favour by not playing him against the likes of Accies and others who'd just be kicking lumps out of him.

When he signed his current contract I remember the rat talking about him staying to continue his development and laying out a 4-year development plan to him and his parents.

I'm assuming that plan would've culminated in appearances for the first team.

Maybe he's asked Lennon for assurances on game time but truthfully I don't think he's anywhere near physically developed enough to be a regular for us.

I'm all for him making more sub appearances - especially with the 5 sub option this season - but he may not be happy to sit and bide his time to do that.

Aye he doesn't look physically ready to come in if Forrest is injured..

As a sub here and there fine but would we be happy relying on the wee man just now at 17 when he's really tiny even for his own age group? I don't think so..

I had the feeling if we didn't play him this season that he would want away but it might already be the case..

If he is wanting away and Shved going out....you'd have to assume we'll be looking at bringing a right winger in 100%. Probably would be even if this story is nonsense..

People going on about his height should realise this is about as tall as hes going to get, at 17 you've done most of growing when it comes to height. No doubt he will fill out more. In the position he plays his height shouldn't hinder him too much unless Lenny is planning throwing him in at Centre Back.

Has his stature proven to be a problem in the games that he has played?

Alright, he is probably going to lose most aerial duels, but he has coped well with the physical side of the game from what I have seen.

He has taken a few kicks, and stayed on his feet, when others would have gone to ground, and retained possession more often than not under pressure.

I'm actually surprised we've managed to keep him, I swear most wonderkids are poached from their clubs when they're 14/15.

I hope we get a full season out of him as first choice, but I wouldn't be too shocked if he leaves next year. Hopefully i'm way off the mark/

The only competitive game we've seen him play for any decent length of time was the 2nd half of the last league game v Hearts at the end of the 2019/20 season.

Height wasn't that much a drawback but it's got to be remembered that he was up against Hickey who was also 16 at the time.

If we played Frimpong at RB and Karamoko as RW then we'd definitely be targeted aerially by teams down that side.

    Agree with that.

Hopefully we'll start to see more of him when we're comfortably up in games.
