BOLI Bolingoli cosied up with a woman at a five-star hotel in Marbella on his Covid rule-breaking jaunt.

The Celtic ace, 25, stayed overnight at the Don Pepe Gran Meliá getaway, where rooms cost up to £4,500.

Brazen Bolingoli spent his secret night away at a five-star hotel’s VIP section — where suites are kitted out with PlayStations and guests have private butlers.

He could select his favourite type of pillow and even the fragrance used inside the luxury rooms.

And the Belgian outcast would also be able to personalise his mini bar selection, request a telescope and have brekkie listening to a live harpist perform at the Hotel Don Pepe Gran Meliá resort in Marbella, Spain.

But ex-Parkhead hero Frank McAvennie slammed the star’s 24-hour romantic jaunt, which saw him fined by cops for flouting strict virus quarantine rules and led to two Hoops matches being cancelled.

The Scottish Sun on Sunday columnist said: “There are plenty of nice places in Glasgow he could have gone to.”

Bolingoli jetted to the Costa del Sol on August 3 where he checked into the getaway favoured by celebs and Hollywood stars. The plush hotel boasts three pools and five restaurants, including an a la carte sushi bar.

Staff offer to shine shoes and visitors have free access to tennis courts and posh Clarins toiletries.

In the exclusive Red Level VIP section — where rooms cost between £500 and £4,500 a night at the top Moët & Chandon suite — guests access their own private check-in area via a separate lift.

The rich and famous are assigned personal assistants tasked with meeting their demands.

Hotel bosses also provide a butler service, including the option of having your suitcase unpacked.

There is a list of pillow options, an “aromatherapy menu” or room scents, plus a choice of Nintendo Wii or Sony PlayStation consoles and an iPod sound system.

The opulent sea-view rooms overlook pristine gardens and a pool.

Guests can also enjoy a spot of stargazing with a telescope on demand or head to the Clarins spa and sauna for an outdoor massage for two.

The main hotel features an outdoor glass-fronted gym overlooking the large circular pool.

And the RedLevel section has its own private restaurant, bar, lounge and terrace open from 9am till 11pm with a fully stocked free bar, Champagne on ice and a continuous selection of canapés, cakes, pastries and fresh fruits.

Other eateries include expensive Japanese and sushi restaurant Tahini, Basque food specialist ERRE and the popular Gran Café Cappuccino Beach Club.

Actress Eva Longoria, 45, checked into the celeb haunt after attending the glitzy Global Gift Gala in 2017.

The Desperate Housewives star was seen relaxing in a pink bikini before mingling with Irish telly presenter and model Vogue Williams, 34, and her Made In Chelsea star husband Spencer Matthews, 32.

Audrey Hepburn and hubby Mel Ferrer also stayed there in 1964.

And Celtic-daft rocker Sir Rod Stewart, 75, X Factor mogul Simon Cowell, 60, The Apprentice boss Lord Sugar, 73, and Russian president Vladimir Putin, 67, all own homes nearby.

But the hotel was also the scene of a murder and two deaths linked to balcony plunges.

McAvennie accused Hoops misfit Bolingoli of risking the lives of his team-mates and Kilmarnock players having appeared as a sub in the sides’ clash six days after visiting Covid hotspot Spain.

The former party-loving striker said: “Boli’s antics go way beyond anything I would ever even have dreamed of doing.

“When I was playing we had fun after the games.

“But there’s no way I would have tried to impress a woman by pitching up at some fancy hotel in another country.

“What’s the point in flying out for one night?

“It’s arrogance and a slap in the face for the fans who haven’t been able to go anywhere for months.

“It’s completely inexcusable. He’s put the season and the health of his teammates at risk. This is literally a matter of life or death. His career at Celtic has got to be over.”

We told how the left-back was caught out after being pictured waiting to get off a plane at Prestwick Airport, Ayrshire, clutching a £2,000 Louis Vuitton suitcase.

He failed to tell club chiefs about his sunshine trip or isolate for 14 days on his return.

Bolingoli twice tested negative for Covid-19 but admitted he had made a “huge mistake”.

Cops visited his home in Glasgow and slapped him with a £480 fine.

It came after eight Aberdeen stars were forced into isolation after two tested positive after a night out in the city.

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon blasted the breaches as she ordered Celtic’s league visit to St Mirren and the Dons’ meeting with Hamilton last week to be axed.

The Premiership match between the two under-fire clubs scheduled for yesterday was also postponed.

Footie chiefs have launched disciplinary cases against all of the players involved, with a hearing slated for August 28.

A hotel spokeswoman said: “We have many famous people. It is not policy to comment on individual guests.” Celtic declined to comment.

Donate his wages to the NHS and get this utterly selfish, moronic, pig headed * footballer out the club. One of the most stupid things I’ve ever known one of our players to do.

Has the thick * actually apologise? I know the club has..., but has the selfish, overpaid, ignorant * actually made any apology?

Celtic should make up for the missed games by showing live ‘ Boli-kicking’ on CTV..,

A different ex-player every day pointing and laughing At him before the youth team come out an boot him round CP for 90 minutes.

Never despised a Celtic player as much as this *.

It looks like the loan may be off so what does the club do with him ?
Personally I think they should terminate his contract for his stupidity and arrogance .

Is it just me seeing the irony of Frank McAvennie having a pop here about a player being unprofessional in pursuit of a ride?

nope ! and that article went way over the odds in how lavish that hotel was .. almost as if we plebs should be up in arms at his extravagance !! completely missing the point of covid, and that * deliberate avoidance of protocol .
