How can it be agreed then they bump money up? I knew last week West Brom wanted him for £10m local media down there reporting it last Sunday!

 

If 'uber fan' and local boy KT doesn't give a * about the 10 when there's money to be made then I wouldn't bank on big Shane giving one either.

 

They bumped the loan fee up when West Brom started showing interest. His wages and loan fee had been agreed before that . Again according to someone on the huddleboard.

West Ham and West Brom have the money just to throw at Brighton and Duffy unfortunately. They will be both be looking at a permanent deal rather than a loan which Brighton would prefer you would imagine, even if they are rivals.

If his hearts set on a move here theres * all brighton can do about it

Even if West Ham and West Brom are keen on a permanent move hopefully we can match their offer or if not we just go with a loan with an option to buy next season. Duffy would be happy to take a pay cut to come here I’m sure of it.

As you say Duffy will have a big say on his next move. Lennon has already told him he is wanted here. Sounds really promising that his representatives have told Brighton that this is where he wants to go also.

 

Would love to see Duffy here,but i do wish people would forget all this talk about him coming because hes one of us,a fan etc.

Nah, just pointing out there had been 9 before him,,, that weekend.

 

I guess some may know him better than me to confirm this,but as of now i only have a few comments from people on here saying he,s a fan.

Difference for me here is that Duffy has been in England for his whole career on English wages so he will be pretty well set up financially you would think and hopefully now he wants to try something different.

He will be on less coming here but he would still be getting in the region of £20k-30k a week which isn’t bad!

 

SHANE DUFFY has told Brighton that Celtic are his preferred destination this summer, according to reports.

The Hoops are one of several clubs that are keen on the Republic of Ireland international.


Duffy has spent the last three years with the Seagulls and has made more than 130 appearances during his time there.

But his time at the club appears to be coming to an end and Leeds United, West Brom, West Ham and Burnley are reportedly all interested in him




However, according to the Daily Mail, Duffy's representatives have made it clear that he would prefer to join Celtic this summer.

Neil Lennon is reportedly keen to bring the defender in on a season-long loan to provide competition for Kris Ajer and Christopher Jullien.




And the manager has reportedly even went as far as having a discussion with Duffy about his interest.

Ajer and Jullien are the only players capable of playing in the heart of Celtic's defence following the departure of Jozo Simunovic.


However, Brighton are reportedly not keen on the idea of a loan and would rather sell him before the new Premier League season gets underway.
