Did I read somewhere they want £10 for him? If that’s the case it won’t happen. I haven’t see much of him but to those that have, if he wasn’t Irish etc etc would you be happy paying that amount for a guy that is apparently more or less “a big lump”, no pace, very suspect with the ball at his feet?

 

He’d be class, he’s not a bad passer or slow either, I honestly think he’d be a fantastic signing.

Thanks for that. I suppose in my head I’m questioning value for money if the fee is in fact £10 million, which since he’s in the EPL it probably will be.

 

We won’t buy him it will be loan until they come down on price or we identify someone else next year

I’d actually pay the 10 million tbh If we can do it in instalments, he’s honestly a brilliant defender and he’s lethal in the oppositions box. Him and Julian would be brilliant together. Could move Ajer to 6 as well.

 

The header in Denmark is up there with the late Julien and Ntcham goals v Lazio in terms of goals that have got me jumping all over the gaff over the last couple of seasons.

I don’t know a lot about the guy, and would welcome him based on what I’ve heard here. £10m would be madness though. You’re talking about a record fee for a centre back from West Brom with very little sell on value.

Would be delighted to see him join. Think getting him on loan is probably the best we could hope for at the price quoted. Would perhaps give us a more realistic shot at signing him next season at a reduced price too.

 

We ain't paying 10m for Duffy, would be a good signing probably a loan deal if anything.

 

He plays for Brighton.

Looking at our squad though I think the two areas that needed addressing and most important were Goalkeeper and centre back. I don't think it would be madness if we brought him in at that price. In terms of the points it could save us it would be well worth it IMO.

 

He's exactly what we need, I big aggressive centre half who isn't afraid to put his head where it hurts.

 

We wont be buying him, but by * if he comes for a years loan im happy, easy sell as we could win the 10, play in europe, heads back to brighton in a year few medals better off in what is a career defining season.

We definitely need to strengthen defensively, both at CB and LB, but there’s a limit on how much we would spend on a player with little to no resale value, and £10m is well above that imo.
