Problem for him is he made numerous bad decisions , if he went to Spain stupidly arrived back and put his hands up its bad enough but he then went to lennoxtown to training, team meetings, rugby park and said nothing etc..

The thing with the huns as well was that it was the club that * that up not individual players going rogue

    That is categorically untrue.

He could easily have contracted the disease, and passed it on to other people, particularly since he refused to adhere to quarantine protocols. Forget the consequences for football in Scotland; he put people's lives at risk.

The Aberdeen issue was also already well publicised by then... so he knew what he was doing by leaving the country.

I hope the club lawyers are sat right now with his contract and a paper shredder.

I appreciate he may yet develop symptoms but after 7 days with negative testing and no symptoms he probably won't, that's not saying he won't it's just saying he probably won't. I appreciate I'm in Dublin other people here are in other locations with different guidelines but my understanding is that as long as he isn't positive or displaying symptoms anyone he was in contact with does not have to self isolate. Like for example if I come hope from Spain and am self isolating I assume the people who weren't in Spain but who I may live with would not need to self isolate too? Also I'm assuming he is back last Tuesday so if everyone did have to isolate and he stayed negative that two weeks would be up this day next week not two weeks from yesterday

If he was away Sunday to Tuesday it was before the Aberdeen thing. That doesn't excuse what he did

I don't think the Club have any choice to get rid of him. If we can prove to the SFa/ Spfl/ government that the Club has done everything it can to minimise any risk and educate players about the protocols then it then come down to the individual. If we act quickly we may escape any sanctions

Thought it worth posting some of the guidance on self-isolating when returning as there is a lot of people discussing it:
    https://www.gov.uk/government/publi...how-to-self-isolate-when-you-travel-to-the-uk

This is the UK guidance which I'm assuming it will be pretty much the same as the Scottish version. The long and short of the below is:
    1. 14 days quarantine on return
    2. Self-isolating is to protect others and the UK, including your family
    3. No way can you go near work
    4. Whilst you can live those you normally stay with if they didn't travel you should be taking strong measures to distance yourself from them (and any others)
    5. Definitely no mention of doing what you please and not giving a * about others (even if you are a footballer)

    Key information includes:

"When you arrive in the UK, you will not be allowed to leave the place where you’re staying for the first 14 days you’re in the UK (known as ‘self-isolating’) unless you’re arriving from an exempt country.

This is because it can take up to 14 days for coronavirus symptoms to appear. If you’re travelling to the UK for less than 14 days, you will be expected to self-isolate for the length of your stay."

"Self-isolating will reduce the chance of a second wave of coronavirus in the UK and help prevent family, friends and the community from contracting coronavirus, as well as helping to protect the NHS."

"You should self-isolate in one place for the full 14 days, where you can have food and other necessities delivered, and stay away from others. You must self-isolate at the address you provided on the public health passenger locator form."

"You cannot go out to work or school or visit public areas. You should not go shopping. If you require help buying groceries, other shopping or picking up medication, you should ask friends or relatives or order a delivery."

"The people you’re staying with do not need to self-isolate, unless they travelled with you or you develop symptoms of coronavirus."

"The people you’re staying with do not need to stay at home, unless they travelled with you."

"It’s important to avoid as much contact with other people as possible in your home in order to reduce the risk of transmitting coronavirus. You should stay in a well-ventilated room with a window to the outside that can be opened, separate from other people in your home."

You’d have thought at least one or two other players would have known what he was up to ?!?

    Unless he’s a ‘Boli No Mates’ ?

CELTIC Football Club unreservedly condemns and apologises for the behaviour of the player Boli Bolingoli in travelling to Spain without informing the club and in failing to observe quarantine restrictions.

It is difficult to imagine a more irresponsible action in current circumstances and we find it beyond explanation. The Club will take immediate action through our own disciplinary procedures.

Celtic are in touch with every SPFL club today, and with all relevant authorities, to apologise for the fact that one of our employees has created so much additional difficulty through his actions.

All of our playing and backroom staff have been tested twice for Covid-19 since this incident and all, including the player in question, have tested negative. While this comes as a relief to all concerned, it in no way diminishes the seriousness or stupidity of the player’s actions.

Since the Covid -19 crisis began, we have had a safe and healthy squad of players, recording not one positive test. As a club, we have worked tirelessly to ensure a sustained, safe environment for all.

We have led the way in working with the football authorities and Scottish Government to establish the most rigorous, effective protocols and working practices, which ultimately led to the resumption of football. We could have done no more in this area.

It is a matter of the deepest regret to us that the behaviour of one individual has jeopardised that reputation and reflected discredit on football more generally.

There’s no coming back from this. He needs to be sacked regardless of the financial implications for the club. Surely this could fall under breach of contract or gross negligence.

What an idiot of a boy. He'll be unpopular with fans all over Scotland if the Nippy Sweetie takes the baw hame.

Strong statement. To the point, pulls no punches and lays the blame at the stupid * door. Would fully expect him to be suspended pending investigation now.

It is a good statement if everything was up to Celtic. Not sure it is though and still need to see what happens with the upcoming games and season as a whole.

Good statement but we can't say we have led the way in protocols and working practices when we don't know one of our players has * off to Spain.

When you have footballers in your squad with an IQ low enough to act like this, you need to look at things again and treat them like children to ensure this doesn't happen.

To be fair to the club though, it's so outlandishly stupid by the * nobody would have believed him had he told anyone of his plans. Walloper.
