He was an excellent player in fairness. One of very few who left the huns to go on and have any real success elsewhere.

I was just hoping he didn’t have to go to hospital to get his mouth stitched then totally rush back to pick his medal off the dinner tray. that would have hurt.

He makes Arsenal tick. When he isn't playing Arsenal lack energy and a forward ball.

A lot of folk on Twitter quite negative towards Tierney. I get that hes not our player any more and that who cares about Arsenal

For our club to develop and bearing in mind the transfer policy we have in place. We need Tierney(in particular),Dembele, Van Dijik etc to improve and develop further like they have. The reputation of taking and making better players will help us.

In the case Tierney, the ability to develop "one of your own" also helps that matter. Although recently we have seen that sometimes, clubs get in earlier in the process and we don't achieve a higher value sale.

The days of being "one man club" are virtually over. Unless you're Messi

I don't hate Tierney or anything like that but equally I won't buzz off him winning a cup for Arsenal..

I'm more meh with it now. Good luck to him but we've moved on now..

Robertson is a great full back. Overrated, mind.

What sets him apart is that he is a left back who is actually solid at defending AND is athletic and can get forward.

The modern game is saturated with full backs who are forward thinking but are positionally sus. How much has Pep spent for city buying full backs who are all in the similar mould, yet its still his achilles heel. Half these guys would bounce off Tierney. Simply dont fancy the nitty gritty.

Heard so many fans saying Tierney wouldnt cut it, same ones who said the same about VVD. Guys were always a cut above.

I'm glad for him, only helps our brand as well when it comes to asking for 25+ mil for players. From McGeady, to Wanyama, to Tierney we have slowly started to maximise our players monetary value and somewhat start catching up with modern football.
