Martin Boyle is just jonny Hayes, why get rid of him for a player of exact same quality. Makes no sense

he'd be good back up for Forrest IMO.
Rapid with a good work rate. Got an eye for goal too.

Boyle wouldn't be the worst option. Never going to be considered a starter, or even good enough for europe but I think he'd do a decent job domestically. Good option to be bringing off the bench when defenders are tiring.

Wouldn't be against Boyle as a cheap option to cover a couple of positions where we're lacking. Caveat to that though is that I'd want decent money spent elsewhere.

I'd take Boyle he would be fine as cover for Forrest especially in certain home domestic features, I think he could suprise a few in the hoops, what we don't want though is to be weakening other spl teams, id offer Hibs their choice of 1 or 2 of afolabi bayo, shved , Henderson deas O'Connor connell

Id say we defo need a striker, * forbid if edouard was to get injured it leaves bayo and klimala who are very raw and griff who is completely out of shape.

We are very light on the goal keeper position and the two wing areas and a centre half so it's astonishing there haven't been any players brought in yet with nine days to kick off but it's the Celtic way of doing things .

Greek super league only just finished, championship only just finished, premier league hasn't finished. Bringing players in for the start of the league was always going to be tough.

The "I'd take Boyle" crowd are one of the reasons we've slipped into European mediocrity and can't reach the last 16 of a campaign these days. Accepting bang average squad players because they'd "do a job" against SPFL *.

I'm not against signing the best domestic players either, but come on to *

You probably said the same about Robson, Hartley and Hayes.
I bet you never complained about Eboue, Compper, Shved, Bangura.
No one is saying he's going to be like Edouard, but we need good squad players thatl work hard.
Every transfer is a gamble and there is a certain snobbery about signing SPL players. Was evident when half our fans never wanted Mcginn.

When Bain took the head knock against PSG must have pushed the boards hand, surely they must have seen how perilous the GK situation is.

Why can't we have players that will work hard and are actually of the required level of quality they should be to compete?

I have already stated I am not against signing SPFL players. I wanted us to sign McGinn as soon as I saw him give Wanyama his hardest game when he was just a boy at St Mirren. What we don't need is to bloat out the squad with average/below average players - wherever they come from.

I wanted the kid from Motherwell, I wouldn't mind Hickey too, but if Forrest were to get injured would you be content with Boyle stepping in for him against a Lazio?

Let’s get some business done soon Celtic.

A week away from the start of season and IMO we need 3/4 signings to get the squad closer to where it should be.

We are one injury away from a disaster in a few areas: GK, CB, LB. Lenny quite clearly wants to strengthen our attack based on the players we are linked with but our priority should be the back 5.

Barkas, Ajeti, Maybe Paddy and a CB would be strong.

We need squad players by bucket load specifically for this season as some player will test positive for this virus and have to isolate meaning we could have crucial players missing at certain periods of the season need to be prepared

Add a LB to that and I'd be delighted.

Although. I am waiting on the annual 'If we got into the season with the current squad I'll be delighted' from Lenny :p
