Commons is a horrible wee rat.

 

I don't really get how he can be defended if it is true he turned up in bad shape. We are on the brink of history this will be the biggest season in most of our lifetimes and Griffiths someone who should 'get it' turns up in bad shape it's hugely unprofessional. Don't get me wrong there is a media witch hunt because of who he is had it been Bayo there would be nowhere near as much attention paid but that still doesn't excuse it

 

As much as Commons is a *, he has a point about the whole Tik Tok stuff. Some of it was proper cringe, I wish Griff would knock social media on the head and take a leaf out of Calmac and Jamesy's books.

Let's have a laugh then.. Striker plays 13 games in 18 months but decides to turn up overweight and unfit despite club doing everything to help. In the treble treble let's just say since 2nd season his contribution has been poor yet you think he's okay. Well you batter on there. He's shot himself in the foot and will miss MUCH NEEDED GAME TIME. Nothing to do with it being a friendly it's about being on a pitch for the 1st time since * Match. 4 months ago was the last competitive match but according to your answer the friendly mean nothing. Sorry jokes on you if you don't get the importance of these matches. And there's nothing lined up after those so exactly how does he show his form when fit ??

 

He's already had 4 weeks of hard work. Still not fit

Funny how everyone's quick to judge him for not being fit but haven't took a second to think how hard lockdown would be on a boy recovering from a mental illness. He'd got himself into cracking shape and then everything changed overnight, routine can be the only thing holding your mind together in his situation so I'll certainly not he throwing pelters his way as long as he gets the head down and gets his fitness back asap.

 

Why were his games so limited in that time period?

Did his form help us secure the league? Yes.

Has he made a mistake? Yes.

Does this warrant the overreaction from some? No.

If he doesn’t deserve to play then he won’t and it’ll be up to him to win a spot in the team, as we all know he’s a backup to Edouard.

 

Find people bringing up the mental health issues to be quite out of order. We all know he's had a hard time with his mental health and we all supported him during that, obviously the club included.

However, it seems to be the case now that whenever he's in the wrong or does something that splits the fans, people hit out with "yeah but he's had mental health issues so stop criticising him" and try to make the people getting annoyed look like arseholes. Nah, he doesn't get a free pass for every mistake he makes from now on because of his past. If his mental health problems come back in a bad way, then I'm sure we'll be made aware of it by him or the club, and he'll take time off if needed.

Lennon has been there before, off the pitch. I trust he knows the best way to deal with Griffiths. So if he's * off, then fans have every right to be * off as well.
