    Neil Lennon explained that Celtic have been preparing for the change in routine, and the Hoops boss said he will have a clearer indication of where his side stand when they begin playing games later this month.

    “There’s a new norm and it’s something we’ve been preparing for over the last few weeks,” said the Celtic manager. “You never really know where you are until the games start but I think, in terms of the pre-season games next week, we’ll have a fair idea of what we need to do to improve the team for the start of the season.

    “We’re going to France next week where we have some big pre-season games lined up. That’ll give us an indication of where we are as a squad.”

    CELTIC today travelled south to their training camp in Loughborough as they gear up for the new campaign.

    Neil Lennon's side will spend the week in Leicestershire training at the world-class Elite Athlete Centre.


    The Hoops will then fly out to France for three pre-season matches in six days against Lyon, Nice and PSG.

    The Premiership champions will face Moussa Dembele's Lyon and Patrick Vieira's Nice on July 16 and 18.


    They will then round off their trip with a glamour tie against PSG on the 21st - with Neymar and Kyliann Mbappe set to be unleashed


    Rangers are also set to join them in the eight-club tournament for games against Lyon and Nice.


    However they WON’T face one another – and there will be no tickets for Scots fans.

    The Glasgow clubs will take advantage of the UK government’s ‘travel corridors’, meaning there will be no need for the 14-day quarantine period on their return.

    Anyone know why we've still gone to an area that is in total lockdown in England?

    Loughborough to Leicester is like the commute in to Glasgow from Motherwell for work etc..

    Loughborough is raved about but under the circumstances i thought we'd opt for elsewhere..
