Southampton willing to let Forster go but want Ntcham as part of the deal.

If that is the case I would be looking for cash plus FF for Ntcham, as FF is Southampton 3rd choice keeper where as with Ntcham form having picked up again post Christmas I would expect to get a good £13-15m for him, we don’t want to sell him where as Southampton are keen to get FFs wage of the books.

It was poor a fee wasn’t agreed to make the deal perm last year. He was so far out the picture at Southampton if it hadn’t been for his wage and we had offered them £2-3m they would have probably sold instead of loan.

Agree £8-£10 plus Forster, as tbh think we could still get £12-£15m for Nctham I feel

Forster and Elyounoussi for Ntcham would do.

And if that was the only piece of transfer business we were to do this window, fine.

True, but would more or less guarantee the 40M CL money.
Hopefully, thats the way Pedro will see it.

Can't see us outlay the type of wages involved for signing both of them permanently, i also don't believe Ely wants to sign permanently here and is waiting to see what his options are

I doubt we would sign Moi on loan if we were signing Fraser they both play the same position. I don’t think Fraser will come here unless he doesn’t get any decent offers from EPL.

But agree overall FF, a CB, Left sided option are all needed. I think so much depends on what Lenny thinks of Klimala, Bayo, Boli and Soro. They have all been signed recently but jury is out or they are yet to get a chance. I would have put Shved in that category but sounds like he’s off.

There is zero chance Celtic would and or can match what Forster and Elyounoussi are on at Southampton. However maybe one way to get a deal done is take part of the transfer fee for Ntcham which would be in the 15m range subtract what the fees for Forster and Elyounoussi would be and then as well as the 2 fitting into our current wage structure at the top end they split the rest of the fee for Ntcham as a signing bonus. Clearly Southampton want rid of the 2 and if they really like Ntcham then maybe a deal could be done along those lines.

By that's are we paying 15 mill to sign Forster and Ely essentially? That's personally not for me. Forster is 32 and we are by far the best option for him if he wants to be guaranteed 1st choice, I like Ely , I thought he was phenomenal against Lazio for us away (my man of the match). But the figures need to be right for me

The clear out continues then and I doubt that will be the last anyone any idea how much we have freed up on wages atm. It’s clear now that a keeper is going to be a target only names being mentioned is hart & Forster. Hopefully it being the latter.
