@Ziggy his article about our finances is pure speculation, hun spouting pish!

We do not have our goings of £7.6m per month that is not near it it’s around £6.8m per month at full tilt.

a large proportion of our “Non football staff” costs have been covered by furlough since March until 31st July I would guess around £2m per month in furlough covered we are topping up the wages by the additional 20%.

income in the 2nd half of the season is down but so will match day operating costs also be down but he is saying we only have “Copenhagen money and Scottish cup money coming in”

celtic will be due around £10m from uefa, £4m in domestic prize and Tv money.

He is going on last seasons figures when we had some seriously heavy outgoing salaries.

just trying to do an article for his blog nothing from retail he says absolutely nothing! We have £9m from Dafabet, Adidas and Magners before a strip is sold.

we have also released to the stock exchange we are fine and expect to having trading consistent with the same period in 2019!

season ticket sales will Be 53,000 I would bet the * house, car, dug, weans and my holidays to Benidorm @JC Anton :fear: people might not renew but there is 10,000 on a waiting list and the chance of having a ST for the 10 in a row season * me that’s what people joined the waiting list for!

    * * meant to be Tim’s do my * head in listening to their hun mates and trying to guess!

best line in his whole “article”

“If we qualify for the Champions League next season, I expect we will break-even.”

I bet if we make the champions league we make a £20m plus profit!

    as I said before buffoon!

That's a * of a lot of players with good experience leaving the club. With it being the 10 in a row season as well we are looking to bring in replacements for some that left and the natural adding quality as well. Add in the like of Hayes that could play in various positions and play at a good level we may find ourselves a bit light in cover. With Ajer maybe on his way out and Ntcham maybe too we really need to get some cover in shortly

Not getting players in could end up a big mistake. We have lost Jozo, Hayes, Foster and Gordon possibly and still not sure over Ajer. Now yes there no games at present but if the league is starting in August it's only 6 weeks away, mot a lot of time to get players in and ready. We had this situation in 2018 when some players, Lustig and Boyata, played in the summer and came back late to re season. What with no players brought in we got knocked out the CL after having to play players out of position and that cost us. We can't afford that type of situation to happen again. Even last year we still left it till last min to get players in which again didn't help with the CL campaign.

For those who are in love.....
The West Ham boy Veron Parkes has been mentioned on a couple of Celtic sites tonight. He's been linked with us quite a bit actually..

    18. Can play all across the front or just off and scored 13 and assisted 6 in 19 game's for their academy. Started training with the first team but has turned down staying with them..

We'd pay a minimal fee as cross border..

Him and Olise sound like they'd be pretty good signings..

The window isn't open and we await clarification on the duration and parameters. So unless a player is out of contact I'm not sure we can start flapping yet.

I'm sure that will come tho.

Given the current climate I expect that these are the type of signings we will make this year plus adding some Scottish talent like Turnbull and Hickey to the squad. The cross border thing is something we should be trying to utilise all the time.

Maybe one bigger signing like Forster although I'd like to see a proper LW come in too similar to the calibre of Sinclair / Elyounoussi.

I don’t see this as being accurate his own figures don’t add up when he speculates our monthly costs will be reduced to around £4m but that is going to wipe out £30m in three months?

Yeah some of the wages were deferred but some where also reduced so will never be repaid. If we get to the CL as mentioned I am sure we will be back in a good place. Where I doubt the club were stockpiling cash for a pandemic situation it has meant we are in as good a position to cope as could possibly be.

The exception would be the wage bill but we have taken actions to try reduce this where possible with Sinclair, Gordon, Simunovic, Kouassi and Hayes moving on . We also no longer have some loan players even though we would want FF back Elyounoussi doesn’t sound like he will be back.

On top of that sponsorship revenue and TV money will increase from next year.

About the only accurate point in the article is we have a few gaps in the squad that need filling.

    Unless the
You've got to factor in that at this point the club would know and have season ticket money in, with the deadline normally being in May.

They've extended it now til the end of June and the likelihood is we'll be waiting until then once we know the uptake before we can budget for next season.

The squad is in a good place and only needs a few sprinklings of quality, not major surgery. Patience is key at the moment.

We always put our ST money into
The follow year account anyway which is good practice

Aye but it'll still have an impact on our liquidity and cash flow.

All you need to do is cast an eye over to Easter Road and see that they're starting redundancies for non-playing staff and trying to get the higher earners off the wage bill.

I can't see us getting full uptake of season books to be honest. I'd love it if we did but it's probably not going to happen. There's no guarantee that those on the waiting list will pay £600+ for a book that they might not get to use til 2021.

It's all a guessing game at the moment but once we have a bit more clarity then I hope they back Lennon with what he's looking for.

Sorry but I disagree about not only budget but in the squad being in a good place. Budget wise the club know they will sell out season books. There's at least 10k on the waiting list to take up shortfall and whether we get into matches is largely immaterial as full price is being charged initially. Secondly the squad is so far 4 players lighter than last season and that without losing anyone to transfers. So far Hayes, Jozo have left, Foster still to be sorted, Morgan went in January, Gordon looks like he's away and we can't be sure on Ajer, Ntcham, Bolingoli. So apart from Soro and Klimala coming in we have lost some really experienced players, in a season with so much hype, that may hinder the team. Imo the jury is still out on both January recruits and with Shved looking like going as well we could do with a couple of players coming in. Tom Rogic has a big season coming up after is woeful one last year and Griff needs to keep up his performances when he returned to the team. The backbone is still there but we need to get bodies in soon. The chances are the CL qualifiers are going to played in August and could be one off games so time is of the essence and we really will need the money after the pandemic closed all of our revenue from March onwards
