Am I the only one who gets the feeling Ely will not want to stay on for another season? I think he a) fights for a spot at Southampton or b) finds a club that will play him that isn't us and signs for them permanently , possibly another EPL team

I would like to see us bring in Jeff Hendrick available on a free straight swap for Ntcham if he goes get a fee and bring in just as good on a free

 

I think that is likely. This was a proving ground and he played well in Europe and won 2 trophies. We won't get him on a perm, at best a loan but I think he will want a loan in a better league.

 

Is the Southampton majority owner not looking to sell the whole club? I’m sure they won’t be hard to deal with but wages could be the issue.

COVID-19 will undoubtedly have an impact on every clubs finances therefore I can’t see much money being spent. While we are going for 10IAR, I’d love to see the club push the boat out but these are unprecedented times. The Huns will be harder hit than us and may go into next season weaker, my minimum expectation is for us is to go into next season as strong as we are now.

Few posters saying youth players could play a key role, I would like to see Dembele, Aitchison, Robertson, Church, Coffey get more opportunities next season. Especially Dembele, he is 17 now and should be ready to make a proper breakthrough.

 

Would any one take Jeff hendrick on a free international footballer. Solid EPL player to me on a free should be looking at players like him to improve us

 

Don’t watch enough English football so I’m not sure tbh, but the wages will surely be a stumbling block even at Burnley.

 

Watched him good solid player would improve us if Ntcham leaves for a fee i would go for him on a free we could pay him more chance to play in Europe could be a selling point.

 

I personally think on his day Ntcham is one of our best players, so replacing him with someone solid is a downgrade imo. I also can’t see much transfer activity this summer so I think we keep our best players until the market is there again.

 

Will be the free agent market where most clubs will be looking.

Out of contract players will be forced to take pay cuts due to the current landscape.

Robbie Brady would be a great signing IMO. I think he will be a free agent.

 

A proven international with 54 caps and guy who has played over a 100 times in epl on a free is a step down . You're entitled to your opinion much better credentials than alot of players

 

He signed a new 1 year deal at Burnley mate

 

Be shocked if Burnley don't do something with Hendrick, they triggered the deal with Brady and Hendrick played a lot more regularly. Also as good as he is I don't think we could justify the wages, especially when he would struggle to start

Thanks for allowing me my opinion, I still think Ntcham is one of our best players.

 

On his day possibly still think he doesn't show it enough I like him when he's on song. Wasn't a dig at you at all

 

He is, often underrated and this has been his best season. I wouldn't be surprised if someone came in for him.

 

Feel that we need another striker. If we are going to regularly play with a 352, we need 4 strikers.

Bayo is pish and Klimala is a total mystery right now, to the point that I'm not keen on the thought of him being 3rd choice.

 

Would you not give afolabi a chance?
