He had promise and potential, at 26 it really isn't a good sign to be out of a club at this stage.
If it's not sunk in to him by now, that he's the one with the problems to sort (whatever they may be), then I don't think it ever will.

Seems more interested in the playstation and goofing off in that side of things. Streams often enough and is a character online. Would never judge that (wouldn't mind it myself), but it's a big difference to being a footballer.

That season he broke through he had scored a lot for the youth team and then scored 1 or 2 before the Barca game I’m sure. Had pace, power and scoring ability, shame that’s when he peaked and thought he had made it.

It is absolutely down to attitude, he’s a notoriously poor trainer (read lazy), incredibly immature for his age. Happened to be good at football and it got him to a certain level but he clearly hasn’t put the effort in to become a regular starter for any club he’s played for.

I still think regardless of laziness he could’ve had a longer career here. The Barca goal was obvs his gift and curse but outwith that he played quite well at Benfica away and scored domestically.

Lennon wasn’t willing to persevere with such a bad trainer but in games he came alive and I think a luxury like that could have been useful. The boy will clearly never screw the nut but he can feel a little hard done by that he was papped out of Celtic on various meaningless loans and ultimately to obscurity.

Players fall out of favour and become squad players, but Tony always ends up having his contract terminated.

There has to be a reason why clubs want him out.

The only person he has to blame for that is himself.

90% yes, but he’s not the first footballer to be a lazy * in training or a muppet off the pitch. Many, like Griffiths for just one recent example, are persevered with purely because they can bang in goals just as Watt showed he could do.

I just thought it was a bit strange as Watt could have at the very least made the club some money had he been kept on another year or two, scored a few more and then been sold on.

I have a big feeling he will end up in the league of Ireland next. Possibly Derry city.

Motherwell have a decent manager and play decent football. If the guy has any sense, he would knuckle down and earn himself a contract with them. He's going to look back ten years down the line and realise how much he cunted it.

I could see Motherwell being a good fit for him. As said above they good a good
Manager and the club seems to be doing a good job of developing some guys.

His time has passed, he'll barely feature and we will all be back talking about his attitude.

Scoring against Barca really was his downfall. One of greatest moment ever in modern times though.
