    I'm not sure you know how rugby works, we got 19 points yous got 12. I'm not sure how you've jumped to the conclusion Scotland should have won. The reason it was so competitive was because Ireland were nowhere near their best.

    Scotland deserved the win.

    Stupid mistakes and ill discipline always cost us. Really frustrating as the game was there for the taking.

    At the end of the day that match was a pure 50/50 one ,and Ireland were on the right 50.
    Next week we will find out how good either are. Ireland home to Wales of course and Scotland home to England of course.

    Our unforced errors lost us the game, hence, we should have won.

    School boy errors and giving away too many stupid penalties cost us the game against Ireland.
    If we could just lift our game slightly and stop giving away silly penalties then we could give anybody a game .

    The 1990 Scotland/England game has been all over the internet this week, obviously 'cause of the 30 year anniversary. I had a wee look at some of the match on Youtube last night. It's nearly a different sport altogether.

    Leaving aside the size of the folk these days, the 1990 version seems a helluva lot faster. Especially the scrums. The ref blows his whistle, and the players immediately join up and clatter into the other side. There's barely a pause in play, and none of your VAR (or whatever it's called in rugby!) back then.

    Most entertaining. Hope for more of the same tomorrow.

    Never watch rugby but gonnae watch this tommorow as everybody at work has been talking about it.

    the folk at work say Scotland have a realistic chance of winning, is this true ? . Might stick a fiver on Scotland if they do

    We beat them at home 2 years ago. And last year down there we were seconds away from the most incredible comeback victory ever only for them to equalise right at the very death

    I think we might just do it :scotland:
