The reaction wasn’t great to see, but imo it’s on the player and physio to confirm if they can continue. It’s Lennon’s job to make a decision with that information.

Better ways to go about it than your young player walking towards you and you telling him to * off..

Well if you want to be one of the big bhoys you need to be a man. Lets face it the dressing room is a mans world and there are players who will run through a wall to play for Celtic. How many have actually played with injuries or chronic pain. He took a knock and with only minutes to go we might have needed him even if he was just a body getting in the way. Lenny asked if he was Ok to continue before making the sub and he clearly said that he was. He has to take personal responsibility.

Too much mollycoddling nowadays. Players feart to stick a foot in or block a shot. If some of them were half the player Broony is they would do well.

Lenny getting grief but in any scenario if someone is annoyed at me I'd rather face the brunt of it and then start to move on than have passive aggressive silences or snidey comments. Agreed, if he could have that back he'd have reacted differently. If it turns out he's got a bad injury then it looks even worse.

Can understand his frustration, but I think lennon should be pulling rank there and taking him off whether Johnston wanted to stay on the pitch or not.

Like you I think he could have handled that much better.

 

Aye just take him off we're 3 up and we know he's still no fully back fit yet. Take lead and tell him to come off with the game long won..

Manager has to trust his player , mikey proves he is not responsible enough to make the right decision , and u can also see why he did it , the same reason we are all talking about , he is unable to stay injury free , and that would be why he tried to stay on but he has to think team first , he thought about himself , hope he learns from this as he could find it difficult to get back in for a while judging by the manager .

 

Lennys interview after wasn't promising, he'd clearly calmed down and saying he's got a wobble in his knee would indicate some sort of ligament damage.

If Johnston goes off there after a knock he gets slated for being a * who wanted off, when he doesn't he's slated as a selfish * blah blah.

Between lenny and a world class physio they should have known he wasn't fit to carry on.

Hope his injury isn't as bad as feared cause we could really do with having him as an option and not another long term injury.

It’s the physio’s job to know what’s wrong and make the decision.

Pretty sure Forster was going mental at another physio against Killie last week because he seemed clueless as well.
