Shocking stats for both Simunovic and Ajer, should be chipping in with more goals than that

 

Have you got total Moussa assist stats and Edouards current total assist stats.

 

Especially Ajer, 2 of his goals and assists are from him running up the park from right back. He's only contributed 3 goals from set pieces in 117 games despite being the biggest * on the park near enough every game he plays and us especially in the League getting 10+ corners a game on average never mind freekicks that can be crossed in.

For a guy that gets forward as much as he does...an ex attacking mid and his frame....he's embarrassing..

2 and they were both flukes, at home to Suduva where he tried to head it back across goal and Sinclair missed it and it went in at the back post and then this season against Nomme Kalju at home where Griffiths glanced it off Ajers head and it went in.

 

He had a spell a while ago maybe 2 year ago where he did ok, I remember one game at Pittodrie when Tierney took the corners and he got the head on about 4 in a row at the front post. But in the last year or two he hardly wins a ball in the air, just never attacks them.

Jullien must get the head on about 5-8 set pieces for every 1 Ajer does.

 

The way Jullien attacks the ball at corners is top class but, reminds me of Sutton. The actual sitters Ajers missed, couple yards out where he's got himself in the right place. Mental. Don't think he trusts himself in those situations now. I'm convi ced it will click at somepoint.

 

Ajer needs to practise the whole box when it comes to set peices but we can't forget we have few players who can ping a decent ball in so it might affect the confidence a wee bit.

No doubt at all if he was provided crosses like Jullien and Eddy he'd be in the right place right time. We are never giving up on this guy, he is a Ronny Roar

 

Eddy's another who should score more headers, Lenny's making him work on it though. Imagone if he would attack a ball like Jullien?

 

He's terrible in the air. Bit of a shitebag..

Was caught under against Cosgrove and then Katic a week later..

Lenny should have him watching and copying Jullien everyday..

Maybe it's because of his broken jaw he got before but he deffo doesn't fancy that side of it for me.....or as much as he should with his beastly presence..

 

People complain too much about the taking of corners I think, as long as the ball lands in the box someone should be getting near it.

I mind one against Kilmarnock the other night went to the back post and there was 2 players there but none of them had peeled off to come round the back, both were stood right next to each other and never moved.

A corner is never about picking a guy out whos in position it's about making a run and jump and hoping it comes near you.

If we had Dembele, Samaras, Ledley, Boyata, Van Dijk and Jullien in the same team we could let the corner taker wear a blindfold and would score more goals than we do now as they all attack a ball well. Problem recently has been that only Dembele, Boyata, Benkovic and Jullien naturally attack a header and 2 were always injured(Dembele and Boyata) and two were mostly in a team on their own.

 

Dont think its a shitebag thing, if its a challenge straight on in the air he is superb at it- it's like he doesn't do it if its his perfect circumstances. He'll still win them but has no direction.

I feel like I'm just being contradictory twice in a row with you but outwith Griffiths I'd say 1 out of 4 corners doesn't clear the 1st man

 

Come on, you know we're not saying that. A good ball in can open up a lot of competition in the area. With our budget we have the players who can arrive

 

Then get a guy in front of the first man, if the ball gets into the box theres no excuse for someone not attacking it.
