    I get you now.

Celtic gaining entry to the EPL would see his own shareholding treble/quadruple in price, so I'm not going to pretend that wouldn't be his primary focus but I certainly don't think he was shedding any tears when their reincarnation gained promotion back in 2016/17.

Aside from the cheap digs he makes at AGMs to play to the gallery, he wants them in there and challenging as it's good for business.

I’m saying the Celtic CEO should be worried about what we were doing at the time, him being in cahoots with Bain kind of shoots down his statement about Celtic standing alone and not relying on any other club. My main gripe is those * were trying to bury us for years under Murray yet our board want a cosy relationship.

Fair enough but I find it all a bit off given the years of systematic cheating by that mob, yet our board are willing to let all that slide to sell our soul down south.

I'm no sure lawwell was in cahoots with bain or wanted a cosy relationship, I think it's more likely that he was desperate to get us in the epl and either thought or was told there was more chance of that happening if he got rangers on board as well. Could be wrong though.

Lawwell and Bain were communicating over the whole plan, if that’s not in cahoots then what is?

Aye clearly lawwell was in contact with bain, but was he doing that to help rangers. I think, rightly or wrongly, he was trying to get Celtic into the epl.

Ask yourself why they won’t back the Resolution 12? Then I think you have your answer, Lawwell is upto his knees in the 5 way agreement the *.

What relevance does it have ? It's a 'story' that's 9 years old for christ sakes, if it's even true, yet its being brought up/floated now, by a 'press' who usually gets torn a new one on here daily ... (I wonder why they are doing it now) But let's take it at face value - The list you provided, I'm sure we are all aware of those points but thanks anyway, would, if anything, serve as a useful list of reasons to look at for leaving more than anything else. So why folk are having a pop at the board for, allegedly, looking at this is surprising.. Well it would be surprising if I had not previously read some of the constant barrage of criticism, some just - some just utter bollocks, that gets aimed at the board/Club/Pete on here.
This is just an example of whataboutery gone ott.

    At least you're honest :giggle1:

Nothing against looking at the option but there's a lot wrong with cosying up with snakes to do it. Particularly at a time when - despite them being financially hamstrung - were beating us on the park to 3 consecutive league titles. I don't think that's too outlandish a view.

If only Lawwell had pursued over a decade of Rangers EBT usage and Resolution 12 as vociferously...

No, that's why I said "if true"

That doesn't mean that everything printed in the Sun is lies.

Given Lawwell's inability to explain his unwillingness to pursue Resolution 12 despite evidence given under oath that our football club was cheated out of Champions League qualification and over £10 million, people will naturally be cynical.

his attack on the supporters namely GB
His lack of wanting to release the 5WA
His lack of pursuing res 12
Hoarding £40m cash in the bank
104% wage rise when Rodgers was appointed
The LTIP awarded by his pals! 1 qualification to UCL in 5!

I get the feeling you don't like lawwell

See the Resolution 12 thing. Help me out a wee bit. I get that rangers cheated over a number of years with their EBTs and cost us league titles and cups, and also cost other teams cups. I get that they got access to the champions league when they shouldn't have. But they died, they no longer exist.

If the board fully pursue the resolution 12, what are they hoping to achieve. Financial compensation? Stripping of titles and honours? Proving the sfa were complicit? Genuine question btw.

The guys have already proved the SFA were complicit one of the main benefactors of EBT’s signed off on their license, the Resolution 12 want our board to push for real changes in our game and I think compensation for our club due to lost revenue. I also don’t know the finer points of the 5 way agreement but the new huns may be liable for the old clubs misdemeanours, I’m sure Lawwell knows though tbh.
