He needs backed in this window. I think the reason he doesn’t switch it up much is because we don’t have the strength in depth some claim. When we do change it up a little with Morgan, Griffiths, Rogic ect they haven’t came up with the goods.

 

There's no reason why Shved couldn't of came in for Forrest more. Rogic for Christie or McGregor more. Afolabi being a recognised striker on the bench instead of none for certain game's. Even someone like Connell for Broony the odd game..

 

It’s a strange one with Shved. He’s getting not even a sniff. Rogic hasn’t had much of a chance but the odd games he did start or come on he’s not looked at it. Maybe a few more games is needed. Don’t know much about the young boys but they sound promising from what I have heard.

I think we defo need to sign someone who is ready to play first team football straight away. Wanyama on loan being the obvious but it’s not very realistic I don’t think.

 

Just listening to 5Live, some * tipping Gerrard to go to Liverpool, then on to the England job - once he wins in Scotland this season..

Friday night now and no sign of incomings... pretty disappointing given his comments about getting 1 or 2 in this week.

Disappointing but not surprising... how many times did Lennon say during the summer that we were close to bringing a few faces in and it wasn’t until weeks later deals got done.

We will do business but it can’t come quick enough for me.

Elyounoussi and Bauer were out the blue so here’s hoping there could be an imminent announcement

 

I doubt very much that getting signings over the line has anything to do with the manager.

If anything I see it as Neil putting pressure on Lawwell to get his yellow bellied * in gear

Needs to be more shrewd and not try and predict an unpredictable market.

Saying we’re close on a couple when nothing is certain, puts clubs we have made contact with and agents into full flow in trying to * their assets out to the highest bidder.

 

It could be looked at the opposite way - putting pressure on a player to make a decision rather than him waiting for a move elsewhere. Nobody really knows.

Would’ve been good to have 1/2 in by now. I’m still quietly confident that this window will be a success.

 

I think the evidence speaks for itself mate.

But, I guess we can’t let players give us the run around for the full window and then not come..

Just feel it’s better not to comment until it’s done.

 

I get the impression a lot of players hold out for something a bit extra when we make contact. Just speculation.

It’s definitely frustrating though, couldn’t count how many times we were told signings were imminent in summer only for nothing to materialise. The part that gives me encouragement is that we managed to get good business done in the summer, even if it took a while. I think people can sometimes underestimate the massive rebuilding job that was done in summer.

 

Said earlier this week we should 1 or 2 faces in by the end of the week...
