Big January needed now. The one silver lining (hopefully at least) is that the board should know recruitment is needed. I won’t hold my breath when it comes to them though. The league, for me, was 50:50 at the start of the season. I’ve seen nothing to suggest otherwise and today only reinforces the fact that we have a genuine fight to hold on to our title. I was ridiculed by plenty on here when I suggested as much and It’s clear by some of the comments that we have plenty still with their head firmly in the sand. It’s almost blasphemy for some if someone dares to suggest they have a half decent side and are more than capable of winning this league. If we don’t pull the finger out, this is a serious possibility.

It's nothing to do with team selection or players not trying etc etc. Those were the same players today (apart from JF) who bossed the game at Ibrox and who were scoring 4,5,6 and 7 goals at the start of the season. The problem is that for some unfathomable reason we've completely changed the tactics we were using to such great effect at the start of the season. We were pressing defences and goalkeepers high up the park, not giving them any time or space, forcing mistakes and winning the ball deep in their territory. At some point and I'm not sure exactly when or why we've started standing off teams and letting them have the ball in their own half with no pressure on them - I've noticed it since at least the Hamilton game. It's not working - we're not scoring any more than 2 goals in a game and struggling to beat very ordinary teams by the odd goal and worst of all we've been outplayed by them twice - how can that happen when we have better players if it's not the tactics that are wrong. It doesn't matter who he plays whether it's Ntcham or Johnston - if we don't change back to the aggressive high press we played at the start of the season then we're in big trouble.

I thought we couldn't possibly play any worse than the cup final. Then we play like that today. Deserved the defeat and it * pains me to say it. What an opportunity missed. Ffs we was on our turf and we shat it!!! Some of our player need a serious look at themselves. We ARE in a title race and we need to book up our ideas and fast.

Totally unacceptable today all over the park!!!! We are Celtic at Celtic Park. No * comes to our place and wins as comfortably as that!! The wake up call was the league cup final!!! Not today!!!

What will our reaction be come then restart in January? Time will tell.

    Totally deflated right now

I wanted NL from the start because I thought he would play an aggressive attacking style of play with a high press and dominate other teams. He did that and we had great success. For some reason he's stopped playing that way and it's allowing other teams to dominate games for periods - even teams that are crap - Hearts for first 20 mins and even at times St Mirren. He has to take the blame for the tactics. There was nothing wrong with the team selection or effort.

yes sometimes they had 2/3 men pressing for the ball whilst we seemed to back off and give them time and space this all starts at the front and it’s a lot to ask with 1 man upfront
Think we need to change to a 442 or 352

It's a fair point but I'm not certain you're right. Christie scores the penalty it's a different game, that's not on Lenny. The team has shown some regression attacking wise the last 4 or 5 games though, possibly fatigue but back to today's game I still fell the front 4 failed to produce to an expected level

Frustrating thing is we didn't get over run in midfield, we just couldn't string two * passes together to play through midfield.

Why do we have no one on the posts at free kicks or corners ?
They saved two certain goals today by doing that...fuking amatuer.

We look like we need a break. We’ve seemed poor in the old firms around Christmas for a few seasons now. Bring in a few transfers, regroup and go again. They got the luck today, for me there was duck all in it. As much as it pains me to say it though they’re a good side so lawell and Lenny get the finger out

No luck in it. You work harder than your opponent, more desire than you opponent, are better organised than your opponent then that will triumph over poor attitiude, poor orginasation and lack of a game plan. Talent will only take you so far.

Would love to know what was said to the players to counter/work around their high press cause it sure is * isn’t working.

They weren't lucky today. They dominated the game and our "good" players look abysmal against them in the current formation/tactics .
