Rod Stewart is a * and I am by no means the biggest fan of the GB. He also recently had a go at the GB as well why should any Celtic supporter listen to a guy who has never paid to go to a game in his life.

It wasn’t just about that, he had numerous digs at the GB over the past couple of weeks. Today’s banner was just the result of him and the board having a go basically. It just so happens they are all Tory * apart from probably Brian Wilson.

You could be right, but the banner doesn't read like that. Don't think they should alienate people based on their political stance, doesn't sit well with me and I'm no Tory voter. Then again they don't speak for the whole support and I'm sure he's aware of that & prob couldn't give a *.

 

I do agree with your point to an extent I prefer banners that are directly related to Celtic but he has publicly supported the Tories so why shouldn't there be a reaction publicly the guy is a hypocrite

I care that our most focused on part of the fan base keep bringing politics into football, knowing that this banner will be plastered all over the world and not caring about consequences. Like I said, they've cost us a lot of money in fines. And for what?

 

Yeah, I agree but he's a sweetheart to the press really.... Lawell is another story. He's got away with bringing in * players and claiming huge bonuses which I don't agree with.

Had it been Billy Connolly, Kevin Bridges or any other famous fan that came out in support of the tories then you could make more of an argument against it as everyone is entitled to an opinion no matter how much you disagree with it but it's just the whole package that comes with Rod Stewart he's a bell end and a hypocrite always has to be front and centre
