if he is sold down the line it will be for a club record fee. I'd like to see him given the opportunity now when he can play second fiddle to elyounoussi to bulk up over the next 8/9 months. I'm not comparing him to Ronaldo but his technical skill with the ball paired with his ability to run at defenders is something I can't remember us having or certainly producing in 20 years, in a lot of ways he reminds me of having lot of similar qualities to Ronaldo at that age. I don't think anyone is saying he's ahead of Forrest or anything but at 19 he's a lot better striker of the ball. I'd like to see him come on and play rw a bit more where the opportunity arises to have him cover left and right from bench for this season would be good for his development and also massive benefit in giving Forrest a rest where the opportunity arises. Forrest has played a lot of football and shved appears to be a no go in the short term anyway

Forrest is the player most in need of rest. Any 2 from Forrest, Ely and MJ till the seasons end is a healthy prospect. And should keep all 3 fresh and hungry.

His determination to get back and win that header to get it over to Broony was excellent.

3 sub appearances, 2 goals and an assist.

That miss :31:....it was the only time I got up off my seat...that would've cattled the *.

Even when we scored I was fairly subdued as it was the most uncomfortable game to sit through.

That miss would have taken all that away and he should have buried it

Same here, I was already expecting him to dupe the keeper, and then- a miss. * wet pitch, Mikey slipped. Ach, no consequences, ultimately.

Shocker of a miss but * it, he'll learn from it.

If we can keep him fit I would be starting him over Elyounoussi.

don’t get me wrong I rate Elyounoussi but MJ is our future and I can’t see us signing Elyounoussi on a permanent and I would rather make sure we get Foster instead who is more important.

We won, so it doesn’t really matter.

Couldn’t believe it when the net didn’t bulge though. I’ll put it down to the slippery conditions as he’d usually bury that.

I get all the raving about him and I see where folk are coming from but that miss is EXACTLY why I said beforehand he’d be better as an impact player and the suggestion he should have started was knee * off the back of 2 sub appearances.

He’s a talented lad with the world at his feet but he’s still got so much to learn.

His inclusion in predicted line ups wasn’t just based on two substitute performances. He was arguably our best player at the start of the season before his injury.

Still think he should have started over a guy that hadn’t kicked a baw in a month.

Two absolutely class options, in him and Elyonoussi.

He seemed to take it too far to the side with his second touch and then slip as he went to hit it. Probably the conditions. Didn't matter in the end other than it would have been good to beat them by more

Granted he should have scored but far better players have missed better chances than that at Celtic. Can't really understand why you would use one missed chance as a reason to back up your point that he's got a lot to learn. He should have started today

He shouldn’t have started and the fact he bottled the chance to finish the game is why I think that.

He’s now had 3 games against the manks were he’s either been poor or fluffed his lines.

I’m not getting on his back unnecessarily just stating my opinion, he’s further behind in his development than some people clearly think. He can go on and be class but he has so much to add to be that player.
