Because that's the way the fixture is billed.

Win every league game until the end of the month and we’re a minimum 8 points clear going into the January break.

It will crush them and they will probably spend a lot (whether buying or costly transfers ala Defoe) to try and catch us.

If they’re well behind .. they might just fold and punt a few ... assuming there are any buyers

For those who are in love.....
We'll outscore them without a doubt..

Eddy will be back and rested. I know he's had a knock but you know what I mean. Jullien. Hayes. Mo. Frimpong..

Even those who've had knocks, have in reality had a break as they've only been out a brief period..

Cannot wait to pump this mob...and we will. Much different game getting up for a final than Accies at home..

The fact it was a last minute winner and they dropped point's after cruising...is all the better..

Could see how sick Jack and slippy were tonight..

Eddy makes us a different team..

Christie will be back in the 10. Forrest will be back right. Our best defender will be back..

    We've goals from everywhere. We're winner's. We'll do them..

Their defence is pants, I just can't see Goldson or Tavenier 9 not making a complete * of something gifting a goal. If Hellander plays I think he will just be outrun by whoever we play. Their cbs are very slow and sluggish. Their full backs are a bit pacy but a couple of fannies, Flanagan only gets physical against vulnerable women.

Only concern i have is the last two games a ball has came into the box from a free kick and both centre halfs have been beaten in the air and we all know wee thug face has been getting goals lately from these positions .

I don't why, but for whatever reason I always feel sick leading up to this fixture. I know I should feel confident as there is still a huge gap between the teams, and man-for-man we have them beat. But for whatever reason I hate the lead up to this fixture :(

Agree about their defence .. though that * McGreggor does make a huge difference. I could not find a stream for our game last night ( streams from Paradise are few and far between for me these days ) so i watched Sevco pumping the dandies.. turned off after 2nd goal so missed the comeback

The 30 -35 mins i saw i must admit they passed the ball about very well, slick and at speed. The Final could be a much harder game than many on here anticipate. Law of Averages say they have to win a trophy at some point and we need our defence to up their game.. last few games the high all into our box from set pieces have seen us lose goals and defend those type of balls very poorly

Hard to make any prediction at the moment until we see who is fit

Celtic win could see them implode & their manager might actually come under some scrutiny

Lenny needs to fire up the troops.. 10 trophies in a row is his for the taking

I agree. That said, I don't hold "law of averages" in all that high esteem. My mother have proven there is no such thing as a "law of averages". Out of her 4 children, 8 nephew and nieces, and 11 grandchildren, she has a score of 0 out of 23 at predicting the child's * before we were born.
I don't know if that is just the "lucky of the Irish" at an extreme, or if there is no such thing as a law of averages.

They will win a trophy at some point, and so will Motherwell, or Killie. But as things stand, our squad and club setup ensures that there chances of winning one soon, are slim.

McGregor makes a lot of mistakes on top of saves. If he was so great he would organise the 4 in front of him.
Our midfield will make it harder for them to play around silky passes and leave their defence exposed. Our defence sometimes switches off but at big games they keep an eye on it, and hold on.
Their manager will never come under scrutiny, their fans think he is great and they just blame players he signed and gave tactics for. I think even if they lose on Sunday and Thursday they will just blame players
