He looks as though he could be a special talent. Hopefully he can stay injury free now, and play a big part for the rest of the season.

A very talented player and can only get better. He's had to wait to take his chance and when asked he's producing the goods.

Makes not signing Paddy Roberts a lot easier to forget about.

That's probably not too far fetched of a comparison btw. Would be inclined to agree.

Both could play either side, or through the middle.. skillful, turn of pace, can finish...

    But Mikey's homegrown:34:

He's better than Paddy imo. And I'm a massive fan of PR.

He's more agile and quicker. Paddy's vision was second to none but I'd defo choose MJ over him at this point. Roberts' career has taken a turn for the worse 2017. Barely played. Not sure about his attitude

He’s got absolutely miles to go, some folk getting way ahead of themselves. Better than Forrest FFS, a club legend versus a young guy who’s not even a first pick yet.

That being said, he’s come back in from injury a different player. I think working with Duff on a daily basis must be brilliant for him.

I don't know why Rodgers didn't give him a chance while he was here. Love watching him play. Give him as much match time as we can. I think he can become a great player.

True, part of me thinks that was Rodgers working his ticket.

Think both at 19? Mikey’s ahead of where he was at the same age. Mainly due to finishing, Mikey seems to naturally have it, Jamesy took a while to get up to speed with that.

Forrest’s 11/12 season would be the equivalent of this season for Mikey.

Forrest was first choice right winger for a full European campaign and scored 9 goals. Not denying how good Mikey has looked in the last 2 fleeting appearances but he’s got almost a full career of big performances and goals to be considered alongside James Forrest.

I’m not comparing him to a James Forrest of just now. That’s 6 so far this campaign for Mikey, I think he has more than 3 goals in him for the rest of the campaign. He has the instinct for goals, it’s brilliant to see in someone as young as he is.

And why 11/12? I’d think 10/11? When both were 19?
