The attacker has got a shot away and been tackled after he has played the ball so he has got the shot away

 

Aye - I got that bit... the attacker did indeed get his shot away. But which rule does your nut in?

 

You do know the ball doesn’t even need to go to or from the player to get a penalty don’t you? Eg. From a corner kick.
A late tackle is a late tackle no matter what has been done with the ball.

Are you saying you disagree with the rule to award a penalty because the attacking player got his shot off? If so - why?

That doesn’t matter it’s still a foul, I think you’ve been watching our honking ‘referees’ too much.

 

Imo I just think the player got the effort on away and it missed target so he is benefiting from a late tackle despite getting a shot on goal

It’s a foul. It’s in the penalty box. The award of the spot kick is the only correct outcome.

Whether the fouled player got his shot away or not prior to the foul is irrelevant. As is whether that shot was on or off target.

Boyata’s challenge was a penalty all day, every day.

 

Anyway. Boyata is such a Thundercunt that even if it had been the cleanest of tackles - anywhere on the park - then it should still have been a Pen... and a Red... and a boot to his hole!
