Have to be honest I think these displays would have been much better placed if we were away first instead of there being 9000 of us travelling there in a fortnight

If the * werent already going to act the * with fans that travel they definently will now.

Think this is a fair point. Those * are bad enough as it is without being a bit wound up. I just hope whoever's going over there is safe. Hopefully it'll be a case of safety in numbers and no one is left in a vulnerable situation.

    Couldn't agree more.

I was already apprehensive about our lot going over there, but even more so now.

Makes absolutely no different to how they will act, either way they will be having a pop at us Wednesday night in Rome so need to keep the head and stick together. Theres near on 10,000 of us travelling over, * them.

Maybe, maybe not but they were talking more about economic systems rather than football competitions.

Usually what people like them do to travelling fans is mindless and unprovoked. If you dont think last night displays doesn't atleast provoke them then thats pure naivety.

I usually wouldnt give a * but Im bringing my 10 year old brother to his first euro away so I'd rather the * weren't provoked last night.

You'll be fine, just make sure you get your brother a gum shield and a hard hat :50:

All joking aside we could have hung banners declaring our love for them last night and they'd still be active in Rome. They have a go at every team who travels there, we will be no different

Yeah, you can be sure it would have been dangerous either way.

The thing is they are hypocrites. We won an award of best fans in the world due to a performance that used a lot of pyro. Promotion videos, tv commercials always use images of fans with pyros. They know a sterilized EPL crowd doesnt make good selling material at the same time they treat fans who do what it takes for the game to be exciting as criminals. "their competition their rules", but you get the same 10k fine for vile racist abuse.

For everyone going to Rome i suggest you check with your airline as there are currently airline strikes in Italt including groundworkers meaning a lot of flights yo italy are currently cancelled and the strikes may escalate.

Away days in Europe it's not just the opposing fans you have to worry about their police are as bad when it comes to attacks on visiting fans

    Agreed.

The Rome police is also particularly bad, so do watch out.

I don't understand why they would associate themselves with the Brigate Rossi, unless it was just meant to be antagonistic. From the little I've read (the kidnapping of Aldo Moro, for example), they don't seem to align with our values.

Also, it should have read 'Brigata Verde' (singular) or 'Brigate Verdi' (plural). 'Brigate Verde' is wrong.

An allusion to the Brigate Fiamme Verdi, partisans who fought against the fascists during WWII, might have been more appropriate.

Can someone explain that tifo to me? I’m not sure if it was genius or if I should be offended? As judging by the papers today UEFA are going to hammer us again.

If another fine comes our way then maybe it is time to shut the standing area for a game ?
The atmosphere will be * but it will lay a marker .

I can't argue about UEFA being hypocrites. I should add that I'm not against pyros if those can be used without danger or distress to others. Current use of flares and smoke bombs are not presently used in that way.
Regarding the penalties for pyros and racist activity, they are quite considerably different. Racism doesn't draw a £10k. fine. Ibrox was recently forced to close a section of seating for their last racist display.
