If it works in other countries then give it a try here.

    Can only try it

That is the only video or article i have seen about safe pyro, not sure who else does it. But if the GB need funds to get over there and meet with the fans & officials then i am sure the wider Celtic support will help fund that.

That's really interesting. I couldn't care less about pyro either way; but it's so interesting to see a league that treats supporters like adults.

Honestly, Scottish football is really dysfunctional in that way. We can't allow standing, lateral movement, danger, danger, rules are rules... what if someone gets hurt? we don't need standing to create an atmosphere, GCC might revoke our safety certificate... almost overnight... oh, we have been at the forefront of safe standing in the UK and are proud to see our long efforts come to fruition.

Can't we just short circuit this whole stupid process and have a proper dialogue with fans, treating them like adults from the start.

No, we can't. Because as either JC Anton or Marty pointed out above, it's about control.

British football in general is new to the ultras culture.

Football atmosphere is changing as more ultras type groups are popping up.

i suspect that its really the smokers that are driving the pyro culture here -- anything so that they can have a puff during the game :93:

The fines wont be coming out of Lawwells or the boards pocket it will be coming from ours. The absolute crooks at UEFA are capable of anything mate so I wouldn't be so confident about that.

I know that mate I was just pointing out that the fines are nothing compared to Pedro’s wedge, and I can’t find any case in which a ground has had partial closure for pyrotechnics. We were fined more for wrong bibs and police and stewards blocking stairwells than previous fines for pyro. Yes it splits debate amongst fans but I’m not going to tell fellow Celtic fans how to behave it’s a bit condescending tbh.

I know you're joking, but IMO the there is a kind of connection. I still can't quite believe western countries have banned smoking in public places. It's hard for me to wrap my head round the fact that this actually happened and even seems normal now.

Exactly the same black and white, moralistic thinking behind the two things.

Just catching up reading the last few pages. The fact we are even debating this latest charge is a bit brain dead, shouldn't be happening and does us a disservice when we have so much more to be getting worked up about as a fanbase.

All this nonsense for * stupid fireworks!....oh look, the bright thing smokes and makes a bang, what an atmosphere...aye right * sake.

Almost as daft as some folk saying ban the GB! ridiculous overreacting nonsense; the lads make an atmosphere second to none....even without pyro, fireworks or they * banger things.

I don't think anyone is saying or wanting the GB banned but are saying it is inevitable if they persist with Pyro.

I just dont get why they'd risk getting their section closed for a few minutes smoke and sparkling things
