The club has a point it's been a constant issue.

And whether we like UFEA or not, it's their house (europa league), their rules. The club can't accept getting fines constantly for this so if it continues they will probably have to act harshly.

Then it will be very people who let them off causing the club to receive fines who'd be up in arms about losing seats. I mean, come on, what are you expecting the club to do? Continue to accept and pay increased fines when they shouldn't have to?

Of course not. So as much as thry add to atmosphere and make for great photographic moments, just gonne no?

Think anyone caught with a flare should be forced to wear a zombie top and walk down the gallowgate on match day that should solve it .

Some on here deny what they implied. Some just try & dodge what they said.

    Here it is

“UEFA will just make us close the GB section like they did with the Huns”.

You tried to tie us in with the closure of them, why the * would you do that?
They weren’t closed for persistent pyro were they?

Do you know why they were closed?

Closing the section for a game would cost the club 10x as much money as just paying the fine for pyro.

Aye, it’s not a money thing for the board. They’ve shut it before.

    It’s about exerting control.

I'm not sure closing the section would be a good response to smoke bombs though. At least everyone in the section knows that they'll be used and they want them there.

If they close the section there's a chance that people could start setting them off elsewhere around the stadium. Places where there's old folk, young kids, disabled etc. It could actually cause more trouble that way.

The best way forward is for the board to work with the fans and Uefa to look into ways of having a safe pyro section, same as the standing section.

I don't think the board will care if it's a measured response tbh.

Not sure how you can legislate for safe pyro either? By their very nature there's always a possibility of injury within a crowded environment. Totally different from safe standing.

I didnt try and tie us in with anything and didn't dodge anything. You keep picking how I worded a sentence, again show me how I tied us in with the huns? I used them as an example, why is that so hard for you to comprehend? :56:The huns had a section of their stand closed for fan behaviour and so did the GB. Different offences same * outcome.

I thought you were one of the more sensible lads on here. Yes I'm fairly confident the GB will have their section closed if they keep up with the pyro. What makes you so confident they wont?

But if they stop doing it then there won't be any requirement to invest in safe pyro technology.

Who do you think will or should pay for the research into it?

    Double edged compliment.

Have Uefa ever closed a ground or section just for letting pyro off?

Any company that sees a profit in it will do the research.
