This whole debate has gone in the wrong direction. It's borderline hysterical now.

Is pyro worth the hassle? In my view, definitely not. I'm pretty much of exactly the same as @Seán Mac D: the political stuff is worth it, but pyro isn't. But we have to have a certain humility here. Just because we can't see the value in it, doesn't mean we're right.

As soon as people start saying that it's "simple" and getting on their high horse (or worst of all stating that it's against the rules or we've been told not to, as if that were that and the rules were coming from the voice of * rather than a greedy, corrupt cesspit of an organisation that has helped make modern football what it is), you know all constructive dialogue has ended for the time being.

The GB aren't idiots. They may be wrong to continue with pyro, in fact I think they are; but they will definitely have a reasonable point of view with arguments that should be taken seriously.

Just read a post on P&B regarding the statement , " When the board release a statement about the cheating years and the impartiality of messers Clancy , Collum , Beaton , Aitken , Dallas " ….. kinda agree with that .

The club need to be seen by UEFA to be taking action, wouldn’t surprise me if they end up shutting the Gb section again

There really is no argument against it.

Yes, of course...for some...pyro is a great looking spectacle and adds to the atmosphere, whereas some hate it.

I couldn't care less about it in all honesty, but the rules are the rules and we've been fined x amount of times now.

Get caught doing it once, aye ok. Twice, right ok play the game. Three times? Just ripping the absolute *.

Aye, just wrap it noo lads, and don't be arguing against it or yous will sound like whiney spoiled wanks.

I don't know, mate. I'm not on their forum and I seem wto remember a few years back, they had a tendency to respond to hostility by cutting themselves off from debate.

I mean, no one in power at the club has ever listened respectfully on this issue AFAIK, the club line being very much 'my way or the highway" as per usual, which kills all dialogue stone dead and the GB do seem to have decided to respond by putting their hands over their ears and doing their own thing, which has the same effect

Respectful listening has to be from both sides, I agree. The point is only that the moralistic tone that has ramped up recently only takes us further away from that.

Nah mate. There's no argument or dialogue to be had here. The GB are continually breaking the rules and costing the club money. They're in the wrong. What's their argument going to be? Aye but we like doing it!

You said UEFA will close the stadium like they did to the huns. That's nonsense.

If you meant the board will ban the section like they did in the past then that's s completely different. It's possible but I don't think it would achieve much, especially given how it worked out previously.

The UEFA fines are a lot of * anyway. Just a money making scam for the corrupt *.

Doesn’t matter how many Statements the club put out sadly.

The pyro is going to happen regardless from time to time.

Wasn’t there something about safe pyro recently? Could UEFA eventually be brought round to the idea that it’s the way forward for fans that want to use it?

That would be the common-sense solution.

Don’t try to be disingenuous, you tied it in with their closure.

They were closed for persistent racism quite a big difference but do carry on.

I'm also pretty sure UEFA didn't tell them which section to close. Just that they had to lose 3000 seats.
