30% is quite high. Surprised at that.

30% sell on is pretty hefty, city must be expecting us to get decent money for him down the line, is he that highly rated?

30% sounds ridiculous but considering The fee if he’s sold it will definitely be for considerable profit. Contrast that to the signing of Kent where Liverpool have a 20% sell on for a £7.5m fee. Yer talking £10m before yer getting yer money back!

Very happy. We need to be making these kinds of signings again. Given the usual two-year cycle, next year we're really going to feel the effects of not making them last year.

A low fee with a high sell on percentage suggests Manchester City expect him to do something; otherwise you'd expect they'd have lowered the sell on percentage in exchange for a higher fee. Right?

30% sell on is not bad for a guy we're getting for 300-650k.

We're taking a low stakes gamble, they're taking a gamble letting him go with 30% insurance.

It's exciting to see we're bulking up our youth squad. We've signed 5/6 of these young lads this summer.

Last year we pushed on with Johnston, Henderson and Karamoko. We don't need/want them all flooding in at the same time. We want 1 or 2 to establish, with about 3 or so knocking on the door. Every year we want to loan out about 3 or 4 of those who are right there but not ready yet... that's how we'll really see the value of our youth development and school system with St Ninians...

if we wanna be a UK version of ajax or porto, without losing the odd league from time to time, we need to load all the bases and be patient...

Yes, mate. The youth academy is vital; but we also need to be making signings for the future like these two young boys. That's where we'll get the next Virgil, the next Wanyama, the next Edouard...

Agree 100%. Didn't mean otherwise. As far as I'm concerned these lads are now part of our youths/development, as much as the academy lads. We can't be one-dimensional about it, we need to fill all bases, like I said :50:

Football manager enthusiast in me wouldve preferred we paid more upfront or in installments than sacrifice the 30% future fee, but oh well. Just glad to see us getting him in the door. Hopefully he becomes a star for us.

We would only need to sell him for 1mil to make our money back, it is a high sell on but not the end of the world and probably was the only way we would have got him.
