Friend of mine supports an EPL team and mentioned that after Brexit they may no longer qualify for the freedom of movement of players and need to meet UEFA quota on 'foreign players', which I think is 5 in the squad and 3 in the team (I'm sure someone will know, I don't!). If that comes into effect we'll be screwed with EPL pricing and hikes on SPL players in the vacuum.

Total out of the box thinking, but it's possible that may impact. Personally, my money would be on them not spending it because they a) don't currently have to and b) sevco are pumping debt like lunatics and could be * up again, with the knock on revenue drop that happened the last time or c) they're just tight fisted *!!!

We need not be bothered by what Rangers are doing. In fact, there's no guarantee it will be a close title race with them this season- why should our planning be contingent on them doing good or bad? A mixture of a) and c) is sadly, the most realistic reason.

Nobody actually knows what a hard Brexit will be like and it is not even sure there will be any brexit at all. What we have is hysteria and projections from middle class twats that people will be starving and begging overnight, or inbred hun closet fascists who dream of a british empire again. The reality is somewhere in the middle and nobody can claim know what it actually will be.

There is no way Peter Lawwell, the guy who mounted this beauty of a team spending enough to buy Cluj three times over, is such a genius that he knows more about politics than politicians and experts.

If anything having some insider knowledge about what will happen would lead pursuing more european players before this possibility is limited, instead of chasing the same 3 british rbs all over

im sure peter lawell has a team of bots spouting any and all excuses possible like the coming apocalypse of brexit or law suits or the orange * going bust again but the truth is we have ultra tight fisted * in the boardroom at celtic and always have traditionally that always skimp and show no vision when they should

theres been numerous occasions in our history where we could have become bigger stronger and better with a small investment in relative terms in certain areas to consolidate our position in the big leagues but they self sabotage every time

maybe with good reason idk but its * anyhow

Nah, i think you're right man!! Like i said, imagine a major shareholder saying well done Pete but i'm a fan as well as a shareholder (i know crazy, ehh!!) and i'm a bit gutted about the CL attempts in the last few years. So any chance you could release that teflon jockstrap a tiny wee bit and release a couple of extra quid Lenny's way. I think the return may well be worth the relatively small risk!!!

The reality will be somewhere in the middle of resurrecting the British empire and people starving? That's a weird way of looking at it. Usually people use that expression to say the reality will be somewhere in the middle of a good option and a bad option. I've never heard it used to describe two options like yours before.

What's your prediction for the game tomorrow? Somewhere in the middle of a 7-0 defeat and the club buying half of Glasgow and evicting every * with extreme violence? :97:
