No question about that. For all intents he basically missed all of last season either being injured or not really fit when he was played. But he is such a quality player that if we can get him back this season truly fit and chomping at the bit to go what a massive addition to the team that would be for the season.

 

AUSTRALIA are set to name Tom Rogic in their squad for their opening World Cup qualfier in Kuwait despite the midfielder not kicking a ball for Celtic this season.

The 26-year-old missed all of pre-season and has only now just returned to full training after suffering ankle and knee injuries.


His last game was the Scottish Cup Final win against Hearts in May, where he was subbed after 70 minutes.

However, Socceroos boss Graham Arnold still intends to use Rogic for their first game in the World Cup qualifiers in Kuwait City a week on Tuesday.


And he has no concerns about including include Rogic in his squad for the crucial match on the road to Qatar 2022.

Arnold said: “We’re still monitoring Tommy and keeping an eye on him, but we think he will be fit for the match in Kuwait.

He’s a big part of what we do and we always expect him to be ready to play for us.




He has great commitment to the Socceroos, but overall he’s a great player for us and we expect he’ll be fit as soon as possible.”

Rogic has 46 caps for his country and has netted nine goals for Australia.

 

If Rogic goes away with the national team knowing he's basically not kicked a ball for us in the best part of 9 months while we've been patient after the last time then he can go chase himself.

 

Get tae *. Dont know why he gets such an easy ride here. Sometimes his touch is sublime, others hes possessed by a donkey but somehow gets a free pass.

Probably because his stats suggest otherwise, he has nearly a 1 in 2 record of scoring or assisting a goal domestically and around 1 in 3/4 in Europe.

Here's hoping more Celtic players get possessed by a donkey.

Celtic don't just pay him when he plays, they pay him when injured. Which seems to be more often than not. He will likely come back worse just like January. Celtic need to put a foot down.

Think if its true his recent contract took him upto 18k a week well need to look to move him on. Dont often care about what wages players are on but hes just not worth it anymore. We can easily replace what he brings actually. It might not be as easy on the eye nor spectacular but hes contributions are replaceable.

Feels like he manages his 'fitness" to be available for them * too which doesnt help.

 

The Thing is even when fit. Will he get in ahead of Christie?

He may or not, funny to think he's played the same amount of games as 'legend' Tierney even though he never actually started playing until Ronny D came on the scene and so did KT but ones injury prone and the other isn't.

I'd just like to see him get the time to come back instead of running out to play for Australia when he ain't fit.

I'll be happy to see him back.

 

I can see him picking up an injury while away, it happens more often than not. Coming to a time when there needs to be a decision made on his future here. Great player for us but international duty is leaving him useless for us.

His manager was rumoured to be a hun a while back as well. It would deffo make sense as he's been a disgrace with us..

I posted plenty in here about how he should take a season or tell his country to bolt until he got back to his best here. Played world cup and Asian game's in-between the first 6 month's of last season then missed the whole of after new year near enough..

He can * off if we're no a priority..
