NL: We’ve got to be delighted with the away goal. I thought we looked good moving forward throughout the game. I was delighted with our attacking intent, and I thought we defended resolutely throughout the game as well."

NL: "You have to give Cluj credit, they scored a fine goal on the counter-attack. But our reaction was superb, with Christie and Edouard playing brilliantly throughout the game, they always looked like they could score.

NL: "Hatem was outstanding, he put in a great performance, he got an assist for the goal, and he defended really well in the second-half. He can be delighted with his contribution."

NL: "Over the last couple of games at Celtic Park, we’ve been on incredible form. Next week, we’ll need the crowd, we’ll want to make it hostile and make it warm for them, and then the players need to go out and perform."

Think he really got the team selection wrong last night and made the changes far too late.. When Ntcham came on we looked more solid, Morgan should have been off at half time and Boli too. Was a real risk playing Morgan and didn't pay off.

Lenny knows how to grind out a result in Europe. He altered the shape and it was risky. Risky but it makes sense to change the formation a little for games away from home. I agree that some of the stuff against better opposition would be even more risky. Morgan is a good player, having a decent start to the season.
He needs to get used to the level so i think it's a good experience for the boy. Get what you're saying though. We could've got mugged 3-1.

If NL (and Lawwell) didn't fully realise the size of this current job, the last 24 hours on this forum, has certainly been revealing.

Aside from a squad rebuild, brought about by poor recruitment over the past 4-6 transfer windows.
(Probably PL, Rodgers and Congerton all at fault on that one)

It strikes me there's a huge disconnect now between supporters and the board, over the current policy of develop-sell-recruit, and its ramifications to shareholders vs investors (supporters)

Winning the last 9 domestic trophies, hasn't hidden the truth that the first team quality has diminished over the past 18 months, the European record shows that very clearly, and the fans want more bang for their bucks.

Paying huge dividends and bonuses next March, without adequately re-investing, continued domestic dominance and progress in Europe will only make the current mood more hostile.

Now we will see the first major test of the relationship between Lenny and PL, the money is there and must be spent on the team, Lenny has already made it clear that he wants the cash to buy players.

Lennon’s job now is to replace Tierney. It’s clear Boli Bolingoli isn’t the answer going by his performances in a Celtic shirt so far.

Kilmarnock’s Greg Taylor is one possibility, but there’s a list of names Lennon is considering.

One thing’s for sure, the money available to him now has him excited.

He added: “I’ll be standing with my hands out. We’ll look to bring another left-back in, no question, and a right-back as well, a left winger, a right winger and maybe a centre-forward.”

Lenny’s job is to get us consistently into the CL and to win 10 in a row mate.

Aye i know mate, that wasnt me saying that, just an excerpt from the s*n article. Give Lenny some of the KT money for 3 or 4 key additions and he will have us back competing in europe and we'll coast the 9 and 10 :50:

100% agree with that mate, the big picture is that’s what Lenny needs to do. I think we’ve all known Kt was going this summer for big money, I do think Boli is his replacement. Just unfortunate he just put in one of the worst performances any of us has seen in the Hoops on Wednesday :56:

Lawwell needs to back Lenny or the fans will vent their anger at the board as the most important season in a while and try and win the ten .
Even if he's gets half the money and maybe a loan or two should do it .

He said he wants a Rb, Lb, Right winger, left winger & a centre forward so that tells me he expects money ... and rightly so.

I'd expect £12m, the rest covers the wages.

Why? According to the club we didn’t need to sell KT so that should mean that the whole £25 million should go back into the playing squad.

I suspect, but don't know for certain, that when they are making their budgets in situations like this they will use the available money to cover transfer fees and to cover wages for the duration of a players contract.

So, as an example, if they did agree to release the £25m to Lenny we are probably looking at something like 2 players costing £5m and on £20k per week with 5 year deals accounting for £20m of the available money.

As I said I don't know for sure that is what they do, but I don't expect it to be far off judging by our lack of transfer fee outlay compared to our income. Financially it makes sense as you are never going to spend money you don't have, but it is * painful to see when we are crying out for some much needed strengthening.

He says he wants 5 players (RB, LB, RW, LW, CF).

What about a ball-winning replacement for Broony? Of course he still has a year or two in him. But we need to start planning otherwise we'll end up with the Lustig situation all over again.

Surely it makes sense to buy a 22 year old ball-winner now, give him a year to settle and to then challenge Broony next season for his place. But of course that won't happen. We'll wait another 18 months until Broony can no longer walk, and until Ntcham and McGregor are gone. Then we'll sign a new midfielder, last minute, to replace all three.

In terms of priority, I would have thought it was above a new RW (Forrest + Shved) and CF (Eddy and Griff).

Because we never spend like we sell, there is always a gap,i honestly think lenny will be lucky if he gets 50% of the KT money.

It’s nice to hear he wants 5 in, Will it be 4 tomorrow then 3 by the start of next week then 2 possibly 1, then we don’t need anyone in because the squad is good enough?

Another right winger? I understand a left winger but right?

No holding type player? Must be mean that he is going to use Bitton more this season.

Until I see these 5 players signed I don’t believe a word coming from our management team after what’s happened the last 3 weeks.
