    I'm actually proud of Tierney.

He has chosen to sacrifice himself to finance Celtic's 10iar campaign.

Takes a true legend to see that no one player is bigger than Celtic. He has done the noble thing.

That’s what my father in law said.

Maybe he has done it to get Celtic the cash and come back up road once his Arsenal deal is done even a 5 year deal he would be 27 coming back on a Bosman

Such a campaign needs to be played, nevermind financed! We could use him in the next 2 seasons.

If Arsenal play him for 5 years that will say alot about his level. He certainly won't be returning. If he doesn't get much game play in 5 years, maybe

25mill for a 22 year old left full with injury issues from the 26th best ranked European league is good business.

I would be of the opinion we wanted to sell & he wanted to go. I had accepted it since the Arsenal interest became public weeks ago. A player has left us, nothing more, nothing less. What every Celtic fan should be in agreement with (even the low posters who have crept out of nowhere into this thread) and demanding right now is an injection of 2-4 players of quality to push us on. It's clear we have the resources. The European 2-7 mill market is full of available talent, lets get it done & put the huns out of sight.

Just on a side note, the club obviously have agreements in place individually with players regarding acceptable fees & time served. Gordon & Boyata were veteod by our last manager, possibly Ntcham too, he tried the same with Dembele and lost. Lennon has obviously agreed to work within this scope. I have no issue with this as long as our recruitment strategy improves.

While I agree with what You are saying, we are the 19th ranked league in Europe. We had a very good year last year and a good start to this year.

You know what this means? Big MJ is gonna fill tierneys boots, and surpass him and score 20+ while being the best left winger seen for decades. Tierney who? Bring back izzy... (naw dont, really :56: )

He knows too much of Celtic to think this money will actually be reinvested in the club.

The day I bought my first Celtic scarf Paddy Crerand left for man Utd just as a few years later Kenny and Lou Macari left. None of these guys are Celtic legends because of that fact, just as KT in turn will now never reach that status. I understand why they went but it was their choice, unfortunately in doing so they all lost the chance of being a Celtic legend.

I think that's the most disappointing point. He will not leave a legend.

Sure, he was part of a legendary moment in our club where we've won a treble treble. That cannot be taken away from Tierney or anyone else who played a vital role (such as Sinclair). But he has not left a legend.

If Broony captains us to 10iar and if Forrest does indeed stay here, they will be legends.
