I think he priortises banksheets far more than the on-field strength of the team, which is a major criticism for me. You can thank Brendan Rodgers for the Treble Treble regardless of how he left, and he was a Dermot Desmond appointment who Lawwell engaged in a power struggle with despite amazing success Rodgers produced with limited funds.

Lawwell's pre-Rodgers idea was Ronny Deila as manager of Celtic on £300k a year.

So you think KT was demanding a move while Lawwell was begging him to stay?

He has a serious chance to make inroads with the fans. Give us the KT money to spend on players and we can actually make some good inroads in Europe.

It will be dragged out “we will sign if we get CL money” if we qualify we still wont sign any quality and if we fail it will be the excuse.

Sick to the back teeth of the man. He just insists on buying in bargain basement and selling at premier prices. It's not always a bad policy for business but for the love of * speculate a bit.

Years ago he seemed at the heart of growing our own next set of superstars again a great idea. But unlike many teams in Europe, rather than keeping them he is just looking at the next profit. Tierney has how many years on his contract. He shouldn't be going anywhere unless it's £40M or 3 years from now

KT was interested from the start, that is patently obvious otherwise with one single social media post he could have killed it stone dead.

Aye for their collective bonuses aye :giggle1:
The club would have happily had him for the next couple of years and then sold or extended his contract, as was done a year or so back, to make sure we got a good value when he left. It just so happens he has left now. No-one pushed him out of the door simple as that, despite what some seem to need to convince themselves of.

Since a year ago today we have sold

    Dembele £19.7m
    Rodgers £9m
    Congerton £1m
    Tierney £25m
    Sinclair £2m (when he goes)

    That’s £56.7m in

    Bolingoli-Mbombo £3m
    Bayo £2m
    Shved £2m
    Jullien £7m
    Hatem £1.6m

    Spent £15.6m

Profit of £41.1m plus £13m a season off the wage bill what a man Pedro is!

Makes me sick the fact we have downgraded that much and we are still lacking real quality in the side.

At least the board will get their massive bonus this year once again.

I really do think Lawwell and the board are the biggest threat to us getting 9 never mind the 10.

With KT all but gone we have brought in massive amounts of money and yet dragged our heels to add the quality that we are crying out for.

I’m just * gutted at the moment cause I really do think that none of the KT money will be given to Lennon.
