Celtic last night slapped in a 2million pound big for Hamburg Left Back Atouba. Strachan wants the 6ft 3 cameroon left back to bolster his defence and put pressure on Naylor. (daily express)

least we know hes a TIM

Thought he was decent when he was at spurs especialy going forward.

Not sure why he left spurs though, don´t think he was at the club that long.

Am doubting hes worse that naylor plus being 6ft 3 he got to be built like a tank! He does seem to try n be a fancy left back.

That would be great, if he can deliver a great cross would be good with aiden as he could overlap and have that option.

    Is he pacey ?

I was at that game and If I member right it was actually Boruc's fault. He threw the ball out to Nayor but He was not ready. Poor descision really I could tell that Naylor was not ready but The Holy 1 Threw it to him anyway.

Anyway I dont think Naylor will be with us. I think his contract runs out at the end of the season and word is if we cant sell him now we will justt let him go.

I think atouba will be a great signing. But if Naylor goes we need 2 LB's

ScottishGhirl * to see you hard at work as usual LOL

He looked good in flashes at Spurs, one minute he'd beat 3 men and ping a decent cross the next he's trying to backheel it across the front of his own box. Eccentric to say the least.

By ths sounds of things Atouba is more Roberto Carlos that Poalo Maldini.

My opinion is that its all very well having a full back who can beat men and put in a decent cross but I'd much rather one who can actually defend first and then the rest is a bonus, particularly if we want to progress in the Champions League.

thanks but no thanks. Olivier Tebily mark 2 total bombscare can you imagine 60.000 of us with our hearts in our mouths everytime he tries one of those turns against Barca or Milan.

its time we started signing defenders who can actually defend if they are good going forward too then thats a bonus
