    Apart from the whole rumour mill close season bull from the media it does appear as if we're heading into unknown waters.

    We all knew Victor and Virgil's class and so did our counterparts in Southampton also operating on a budget in the EPL which was laughably uncompetitive before the billionaires entered the playing field ffs.

    Anyway, we've now said thanks to the Saints for shining a light on our shining brights but the 'man' is now coming to us.

    However how do we manage the wage system we've put in place to prevent us going under? Personally I prefer the long term strategy now our quality as a club is getting recognised. We're going to have to deal with a lot of pain along the way but I'd much rather that than doubling a player's wages for the short term possibilities.

    Offering KT or Kris a huge % of their transfer fee if they stay a while would be much more acceptable.

    It's funny to see the idea 'plays for' translated as 'works for' seeing as Italy is the cultural centre of the western world. Maybe it's Google now.

    BRENDAN RODGERS is eyeing Kristoffer Ajer as a long-term replacement for Harry Maguire.

    The Leicester boss worked with £15million-rated centre-back Ajer, 21, during his time at Celtic.

    Rodgers, is relaxed about replacing Manchester United-bound Maguire before England’s transfer window shuts on Thursday.

    Although happy with current defenders Jonny Evans, Caglar Soyuncu and captain Wes Morgan, the Northern Irishman is an admirer of the Norway international and has Ajer on his long-term shortlist.

    Ajer is Going to the Tap undoubtedly, The Boy has developed massively and it’s clear he has massive potential this season will be big if he stays fit/injury free. 15m is a shambles of true VVD left for peanuts and look what he has achieved Ajer will be at that benchmark I believe and it will hurt when I repeatedly see young Players being developed by our club and going on to achieve the biggest in Europe when we can’t keep a hold of them and they leave for some tinpot club like Leicester modern fitba is Hellish
