    He seems to know how to put a team out. Quite happy so far.

    20 minutes in I said if we keep this up this league will be a canter ... it may be early days but no team will be able to handle the directness of our play instead of that tippy tappy passing they all eventually learned to cope with under the snake.
    I for one am absolutely buzzing even more now for this season

    Was very disappointed he got the job full time but that’s the best performance we’ve probably had since long before Rodgers left. Makes a nice change shooting outside the box instead of the mind numbing back and forth passing we were watching before.

    When Lennon was appointed, I said I was 'underwhelmed'. Listening to Tom English on the radio today, he said Rodgers's team scored 2.4 goals per game but Lennon's teams scored 2.3 goals per game - so Lennon's team always scored goals. Also, I didn't factor in all the crap that went on last year. Dembele wanted out, Boyata wanted out, Griffiths needed a break, key injuries to key players, Rodgers having issues with the board and then walking out in February...and we still won. I also said that once the season starts I'll get behind Lennon 'cos that's what you do'. Well..after this, I'm 100% behind Lennon now! :) I think he'll do well.

    Excellent statement from Lenny and the team cause no one performs like that without the dressing room buzzing.

    Edit: After seeing Lenny's post match interview, he knows the score about the long term demands and where we are. He's so humble it's humbling, people do well when they're not expected to be somebody else

    Best I’ve seen us play since we skelped the Huns 5-0. Getting a standing ovation at half time says it all

    NL: That’s a perfect performance in every aspect of our play. Clean sheet, two attacking fullbacks, great midfield. There was a relentless aspect about our play today which I enjoyed."

    NL: "Subs were fantastic and made a great contribution. I loved the last three goals. They were great all round. I loved the connection between the players and the fans today as well."

    NL: "Is there more to come? I’d like to think so. We’ve defeated a very good and rugged St Johnstone team today. The players do the talking. For an opening game of the season, seven goals… just wow."

    NL: "
    @ryanchristie2
    is unquestionably a top team player here. He’s got great enthusiasm and stamina and not only that, he’s got immense talent."

    NL: "Hatem got a dead leg, but we’ll just have to monitor him. I thought he was outstanding and
    @MBolingoli
    had a great game as well."

    NL: "We don’t need to send messages, there are three trophies out there. We talk on the pitch, that’s what we like to do."

    Don’t know if I’ll be eating my words already, but lennons football is much more direct than Rodgers ball retention *. Sorry Neil

    I love how Ronny's last game was him showing the world it's the Club and the culture that makes us play the way we do. He'll always be respected for appreciating good football and that the game is bigger than any one person. Lenny came back and made the same statement with his first game.

    Ronny showed us what we're capable of by introducing Jack, Lenny showed us what we've already got but in the same style as Ronny he showed us it's all about getting good players to smile when they play, the freedom that comes when you can enjoy your talent is so distant from * who think they are responsible for your achievements, yes Rodgers I'm looking at you jumping ship to a team who've already experienced their finest moment full of players who can't enjoy a thing because they know it's an impossible dream and any stepping out of line they'll get treated like cattle on the first Monday.

    The genius of Jock Stein was he showed the world what good players can do if they understand the value of synergy. It's no coincidence he preferred the political ideas of the left, working down the mines he would've been acutely aware of how much folk can do when they work as a team and how little the ones recognised do. The thing is it's in our human nature to be as productive as we can be, no * is surviving the jungle without mates they can trust and who can trust them. Sorry Rodgers, trust is of more importance than you know, the ego you subscribe to is a myth those on the Right like to portray as something special that separates us from the animals.

    Well how many animals have strolled about the jungle waving to * going look at me up a tree putting up my Sky dish so I can see.

    Jock understood what Pride means and not one single Lion can experience it, it has to be all of them all the time.

    It'll be * tough if we don't do 10 and bring the respect of the 9 back to Celtic but if it's Lenny I don't care cause I know he'll share our pain. Because if we do succeed he will share the glory like a fan and not be checking his spam folder for the latest offers.

    Celtic have and always will be a team who regard difference as something interesting and modesty as respect for the potential of others

    I'll admit I was underwhelmed when we appointed him, but he's winning me over fast.

    He has such a calm authority, speaks well, the players seem energized. A far warmer and more authentic presence than Rodgers.

    And the football's not half bad either. :treble:

    People were far too quick to judge, people assumed a bigger name meant success. He has had the summer to work his style into his squad. He has also not gone for loans with Arzani being the only loan in the team, so planning for the future.

    Think the players see him more as a father figure than what they did Rodgers because of his warmness

    To be fair when folk were saying a big name means success they're not wrong, it's just the parameters we have to operate in, big names are used to big money. Lenny flies under the radar which is quite nuts considering what he's taking on is up there with all the top jobs when it comes to the pressure of expectations.

    If Elhamed can pinpoint a 70 yard cross field pass to the overlapping Boli then we might have great answers to the stalemate of side to side, he made it look like it was quite normal for him
