So,, there's only 6 days left for Arsenal to meet our valuation? Even better, I thought they had the full 9th of August to make bids. They are seeking to get other players too- that's why no real bids are coming. Zaha/Everton, a first team CB and a part of the Pepe fee all eat into their budget.

Agents and players these days don't shy away from making public their desires to leave a club. All we have is quoteless claims that Kieran wants to leave. If he is interested in talking to Arsenal, but isn't raising any fuss, and waits to see if Arsenal stump up the cash, then his desire to leave is not absolute.

 

Of coarse he’s no actually said he wants to go.

 

It’s not like he’s saying he wants out of Celtic. He just wants the chance at one of the big leagues, he might not get another one with his recent injuries at such a young age. I doubt he would leave for a team outside the top 6.

The injury, IF it ends up severe enough to end his career, would leave him in a hostile environment with little understanding for his situation, far away from his friends. I'm sure in a situation like that, he'd prefer not to be ridiculed as a waste of money by Londoners.

young fella that stays next to me was telling me today ( he,s in the first team squad at a Scottish championship club … right back anaw ) they were playing Partick in a closed door game on wed and the talk among players was , Arsenal are not only trying to lowball us they are trying to get Tierny on as low wages as they can , salary is very dependant on clauses and incentives .

Cant find anything concrete.Lennon just said he wouldnt be surprised if they came back in.Nothing new really.

 

There’s also the fact that mismanagement of him has caused him a lot of injury issues, that’s got to hit your confidence in the club career wise.

 

I’ll always have that sinking feeling that he could and should have been a Celtic legend but I’d thank him for his service and move on.

 

That should be the absolute minimum 25m up front and a good sell on clause like what we had with Van Dijk.
