    Surprised he's not being linked with any big moves. Only a matter of time. Hopefully we can keep him for a good few years though as he's only going to get better.

    Personally I still find it unbelievable how Ajer was not even a nominee for young player of the year last season. Just crazy. Good player already who has a very large ceiling I think.

    He or Turnbull was the rightful YPOTY. He will be a mainstay in the starting XI now and go on to make us a lot of money.

    CELTIC defender Kristoffer Ajer is the subject of interest from AC Milan, according to reports.

    The Hoops ace has apparently attracted the attention of the Italian giants.


    According to Italian media outlet TMW, Milan have placed Ajer on a two-man list of defensive targets.

    The site claims that the player’s agent will meet with AC’s representatives to discuss a deal.

    TMW say that Liverpool defender Dejan Lovern is the other defender on the list.

    However, the Italian media site believe a move for the experienced Croatian defender would cost around £15million.



    This is why 21-year-old Ajer has been highlighted as an alternative option with more potential.

    Ajer joined the Parkhead club in 2016 for a fee of around £500,000


    He was sent out on loan to fellow Premiership side Kilmarnock in 2017 but has since made 47 appearances for Celtic on his return, playing his part in the treble Treble winning side.


    The news comes as Lille are said to be ready to step up their bid to secure Celtic centre-back Jozo Simunovic.


    Ajer is tied down until 2022 at Parkhead and has been earmarked for the future despite being already being a first-team regular.
