No one is making excuses for him. I'm saying that perhaps he hasn't been given a fair crack of the whip.
No it's not disrespectful to state that someone isn't good enough but it is disrespectful to be downright verbally abusive and I have seen a lot of that kind of thing lately.

Not everyone is going to hit the ground running. Last season folk said Christie wasn't good enough. * I remember the abuse Scott Brown got when he started with us :56:No one is pretending anything. We all know there's a problem and all I'm saying is we should hang fire a wee bit and see how it plays out. It's ok to have opinions. I just hate how some folk express them like they're incapable of having a view without being totally disrespectful.

Great Post, I do notice the language aimed at players who are just off form or not playing well.

I guess he's pish, get rid posts are a bit brutal but probably true its the name calling in the end. A lot is down to probable frustration mind you and no better place to vent that as online.

I get name calling for players who maybe take the * out the club but some are way ott and as said creeping more into it, I say bordering on hatred for one of our players and love them * up more than doing well.

Tbh I'm not a fan of his, but I did say he is really really young and as backup then possibly he may develop.

Tbh as for our RB situation I'd have him 3rd choice as I'm a bit dubious with the Israeli guy being first choice, I'd think he's more backup to a couple of positions.

If Celtic can afford it then fine get rid and replace, but going by our dealings at the moment that isn't the case is it.

Think some think we should have KT as LB and Marcelo as backup for example.

He may not be good enough, but we shouldn't be writing a 20yr old off as of yet.

He's hardly played another loan deal to SPL side and get him fully assessed.

For all the snakes talk about development I actually think that night against barce could have been to soon for Ralston (in development terms). Everything all seemed positive when discussing Ralston. He gets roasted that night and nothing positive has seemed to have happened since. He gets punted on loan and comes back worse again.

Now compare that to how Tierney came into the fold. A few domestic subs, then domestic starts and all building up to playing in Europe.

Ralston's development to me, looks to have been handled poorly.

said yesterday i had a feeling his performance last night would make some people eat their words...didnae realise it would be mine!

He was hoachin last night, absolutely hoachin!

I'll always champion bringing through youth players, but that last night was painful to watch.

100%, left hung out to dry big time by Rodgers. Played against one of the best teams in the world, then dropped. How the * does that help anyone’s confidence?

Rodgers was a right * at times

As @Jeannie960 said...many of us, including masel, had written of Christie too. I certainly thought he was a wasted jersey. I dodnt have much hope for Ajer either. And 3 years ago i wanted Forrest punted as his development looked like it stalled altogether, in fact it looked like he was going backwards.

I also wrote off McGinn at hibs but would give my left ball for him now.

With Ralston though its a tricky one, there doesnt seem to be even flashes of potential, not these days anyway. A loan spell would definately do him the world of good.

He went on loan to Dundee Utd in the Championship and didn’t impress.

At least with Christie you knew the technical ability was there. It was more a case of a lack of physicality and aggression which he has completely fixed now. That tends to be the case with young players - Mikey is another one now. Even Forrest a few years ago.

But with Ralston it’s the reverse. He’s a bit of a tank but his technical ability is gash. He’s robotic in his movements and looks awkward as * when he has the ball at his feet.

20 is still young. But by that age, if he was going to make it I’d expect his technical ability to be miles ahead of what it currently is.

You may be right, but just feel it’s still a bit early to write him off totally..

McGregor was written off before he went to Notts on loan and Ralston is younger.

His injury really hampered his progress.
Last season before it he was putting in motm performances and looked to be our best option for right back.

Never going to be good enough for us. Don’t want him anywhere near the team especially in these next two qualifying rounds.

I hate to be that guy, I said it from the start that he wasnt the standard needed at all and probably never would be.

What I really disliked about him was "standing up to Neymar" (that some people loved) by screaming in his face. Neymar had absolutely embarrassed him constantly and repeatedly and it just made the whole thing really cringey and embarrassing for him to do that.

As bad as he is, if he’d have broke Neymar’s legs that night he should have been given a contract for life.

In December he was playing really well, scoring goals and getting assists.
A lot of people where optimistic about his future.
He got injured and has struggled since coming back.

    * neymar. I'd scream in his face anaw. Neymar had plenty of snide comments before getting in a very young and massively inexperienced players head, then was a complete * at the end and refused to shake hands to a young boy.

Gamboa got MOTM performances, even was in FIFA TOTW and SPFL month team and ultimately wasn't good enough. Two good games do not make you decent.
