    The no7,,i know its a legends number ,but u have to wear the jersey to become a legend lets hope scotty turns out to be half as good as the previous owners of the no7,,and if he does then we wont complain

    The guy has scored 30 goals in his first season, i have no problems with him getting it.

    Henrik Larsson was not a 30 goal a season striker before he came to celtic and he got handed it.

    Nr 7 is not really a number for strikers, is it?

    I always thought of the 7 as a midfield number. I´d give McGeady the 7 in 1 or 2 years

    Number 7 has to go to a striker so we can hear the music every week again.

    Seriously though I think he deserves it, players who have done a lot less have worn it since Larsson left and McDonald is probably our best striker since Larsson so why not give it to him. I'm sure he thinks it's a huge honour and is ready to live up to the billing as number 7.

    I didn't get an answer so i will say it again?

    McDonald scored 31 ( or 32) goals last season and dosen't warrant the Number 7.

    What did/has McGeady done that is better?

    No the question you should be asking is why McDonald doesnt deserve it?

    Is it because some narrow minded fans are still mad at him for taking the league away from us a few years ago and hold a grudge that they themselves may deny and they put it off as

    get a life.

    mcdonald deserves the number 7 just as much as anyone.

    Skippy has been excellent and his goals have been invaluable, long may they continue. 750K has been money well spent and your right from early on he showed good qualities and most fans took to him quite quickly. Although I have no problem at all with him being given the no 7 shirt, I still think it should have been kept for someone with a better all round game.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>

    c'mon you can't compare Skippy to him :87:

    I'd give him the 7, he had a smashing season and i think could still pull his weight with it. I suppose we'll just have to see if he can live up to the legends before him (apart from Magic).
