Assuring that lennon said we are nowhere near done in the transfer window today. However it’s the board living up to it that’s my worry

Strangely enough, I actually genuinely believe the board and Lenny are well and truly in tandem this window.

Do not believe for one second they'd come right out the traps and try sign Turnbull for best part of £4m, Jullien for £7m and back up Boli Bolingo Bolinwoli for £3m, more than the compensation required for Connell, £1.5m for El Whateverhisnameis and penny pinch on a proper RB and whatever else Lenny wants.

We've spent 3 years looking for a RB and brought in a makeshift player who can play RB. I don't doubt the boards willingness to spend, just they don't seem to have any success as fixing this problem position. We must have let 3/4 RBs escape our grasp already this window.

They don't want to spend money. 20K p/w is hardly an excuse to give up on Ankersen.

Do you have a source for this? We've already spent over £10m on 3 players, that shows a willingness to spend. Lennon himself said our business is nowhere near done.

A lot of people mentioned on here that Ankersen wanted 20K. I don't know their sources, admittedly.

Don't know how anyone here would know what we offered a player from Denmark tbh. It's like the Tierney wage that was banded about as well, all paper talk bullshit. It might have been down to wages but the details and wages aren't exectly going to find their way on to a football forum unless your Jack Hendry.

I'm struggling to see how the board are at sole fault for this?

Fraudgers wanted to spend upwards of £7m on Castagne. Didn't happen.

That was well after he brought in Gamboa. Who was either *, or didn't get a look in after playing a decent/good game.

He then brought in Toljan on loan. Who turned out to be absolutely dire.

Now, I don't give a * if this guy Elhamed is supposedly a "makeshift" RB - at least we've went out and signed a player who can operate at RB. If Lennon gets his way before the end of the window, then he will have another RB.

    Simple.

NL: “It was a brilliant performance. I can’t ask any more of the players. I thought in the second-half we were very good. Five goals and a clean sheet, that’s a nice luxury to have.

Aye came on to post exactly that..

It's so refreshing to see us dangerous from setplays again. Something that was pathetic under Rodgers considering the amount of corners we'd win.

He's signed players who seem a threat in the air in Jullien and Elhamed, Ajer getting on the end of one last night was good to see and Simunovic at the end of last season became much more of a threat.

This coupled with going 3-5-2, when it suits us, is making for a promising start to this reign.

It was so good to see the players all respond well to Lenny and his tactics, as well as a great result it was a resounding endorsement of him I think.

You can't read too much into our European campaign from playing a team like that; but when you consider they must be at least as good as a top half SPL team (probably better going by SPL Europa League results over the last decade), it really bodes well for a very enjoyable season domestically. Some of our football was wonderful to watch.

They are probably worse than about every side in the Scottish top flight. Thats them half way through their season and they were absolute dross and we even looked fitter than them. They play in front of crowds of about 400 and sacked their manager already this season. Dundee United would probably beat them over 2 legs

Some folk have been blindfolded watching Scottish sides in Europe clearly.

The 3rd best team in Scotland just got papped out of Europe by Welsh part timers. We have zero place to be so arrogant.

That team last night would beat most Scottish teams over 2 legs.

That team would be underdogs over two legs against at least 9/12 Scottish Premiership sides. I don't know what game you watched.
