    He seemed to jettison the loan players didn’t he? They where almost immediately dropped when he came in!

    It made sense if he was taking a long term view. Use the time he had this season to judge what he is going to have available for next season and what he needs to replace. No point playing loanees he isn't expecting to be here next season.

    If that really was his rationale it is actually quite brave, it could have backfired massively on him had we slipped up in the league and cup because of it.

    I would be happy with him for another year loan, he fit played very well & I think helped Ajer mature a bit. Obviously his injury lay-off was a *.
    I understand the long term requirement but if he’s here we can forget about C/b as any kind of priority & concentrate on more needy areas for replacement before the qualifiers.

    That's the thing though, I don't think we would get him before the qualifiers, not the first rounds anyway, due to the Maguire situation.
    Edit: That's not even taking into account he wouldn't have his pre season with us, it would be at Leicester, and they could recall him in January. There is just too much uncertainty involved with it for me. As I said before I would love to have him, just not with all those strings attached.

    Would have loved to have his loan deal extended by another season but it was never likely and was never in our own hands. He is a LCFC player after all, and BR already got to see his qualities last season, so knows how good he is, so was always highlt unlikely that we'd have gotten anothr season. Best of luck to him. Class act.

    He's class, I think he'll become a top player in that league within 3-4 years, assuming he stays injury free etc. Moreso if Maguire leaves Leicester this summer.
