    Came back in and it was 93rd minute and I heard Pearce mention last summer ffs. They never ever let go and I don’t think I can actual face them winning it. 66 was bad enough and I was born 30 years after!

    I actually think the standard is laughably * for a lot of the time and it is cringeworthy hearing the game compared to the mens game (headline on bbc article "the USA women scored more against this team than the men in x amount of years..." But one thing I will say is that it has definitely been entertaining. I think it probably helped there wasn't any other football on but overly harsh to say it's not been entertaining.

    There has been men's football on throughout the entire tournament. You just wouldn't know going by sky and BBC fawning over this tournament

    Ah fair enough, Ive fallen for their deception! I actually wouldn't be that interested in those tbh. It is quite strange watching such poor quality football with really high production values. In this day and age though it is to be expected and particularly with England in with a shout you were always going to get that fawning.

    People moaning about the women’s game and the lack of ball retention and high turnovers etc I find strange.
    There is nothing more boring than teams passing between the back 5 for 5 minutes then the ball running out of play or somebody falling over for a foul like the current men’s game.
    I’d rather it was end to end with teams trying forward passes and through balls.
    The women have been technically very good - first touch, dribbling, passing range, shooting etc is equal to the men’s game but without the pace and power.
    When I switched over between the World Cup and U21 the difference in the speed of the players is astonishing - it was like the U21 were on fast forward.
    I also think the goalkeeping standard has improved massively all round compared to even the last World Cup - they all looked pretty * except a few - now they all mostly looked like decent goalkeepers.

    I think it’s been a good tournament with some good technical players and in future years it will only get bigger and better as more girls play the game thanks to how good this one has been.

    No trying to be rotten but I think that is absolute nonsense, I agree the game will get better if more girls are inspired to take part though and this will definitely help towards that.
