If that isn't exactly what Lennon wanted it's a disgrace.

First manager to get sent off to the velodrome. Unbowed, unrepentant.

Let's see the SFA try their shenanigans with Neil Francis Lennon watching their every move.

We are unstoppable as a club when we are unified. Our rivals and detractors know that, it's why they're revelling in the division.

I think back to the last league game against Motherwell in 2010/11, our win on the day meant nothing as the Huns were beating Kilmarnock and on track to win the league....and yet 60,000 of us were huddling in the stands. A club unified behind our manager who had suffered a relentless and despicable intimidation campaign and from a governing body that was hellbent on making sure he didn't win.

What an eerie feeling. In a crowd that was bouncing about while their bitter rivals won a league that was in our grasp only weeks before. It was a big 2 fingers up to all our haters; down but not out. We could sense the tide turning and had every reason to be optimistic. Better days were ahead.

Here we are having won every single league trophy since that day, just completed a feat unprecedented in World Football. 3 consecutive Trebles and yet the mood within the support is sour. I understand some didn't want Lennon as our manager but we are where we are and the decision has been taken, it's time to accept it and end the negativity, sniping, bickering. If we can get everyone back on board and unified like we were in May 2011 then there's no team in this country that will stop us doing 9 in a row and beyond.

    Into them Celtic :ynwacelti

NL It’s a personal privilege and a great professional privilege. I’m very much looking forward to the challenges ahead.”

NL: “We would like to make progress to the Champions League. There will be players leaving and players coming in. We do our business as quietly and professionally as we can.”

NL: “You all know what this club means to me but it’s not about me. I’m delighted that the board have entrusted me. The aim is to try and win a fourth treble and be the dominant team in the country.”

NL: “I’m older and a bit more wiser. I’m 10 years down the line in management and have a great backroom staff. I am different, there’s no question of that. I’m more rounded and looking forward to the challenge ahead.”

NL: “Some of the most important games of the season come straight away so it’s important that we have a good pre-season. I’m excited to bring new players in and develop the players we have.”

I have pretty much zero doubt Lennon is going to do well again. I just don't want to see us downsizing, especially at this point- we're going for the 9 & 10! If EVER there was a time to splash out and go for it, this is it. If we're actually looking at cutting costs and not investing big at this point...I don't even know what. It would just be so deflating, when it could and should be the ultimate high point.

I want us downsizing the squad and upping the quality within it.

A lot of the dross is leaving the, so that’s a bonus already.

I just have this feeling of dread that our key aim is just to be cheaper now. Not that we blow everything, but that we do just enough to scrape by the next two years. Get rid of a manager, bring in a cheaper one. Sell a player, sign a cheaper one. Cut, cheap, cut, cheap. Splash out, this is history! Let it be glorious, not a painful exercise in downsizing from a point of success and grinding it out.

12 month rolling contract - the same as he was on as a rookie manager - smacks of blatant disrespect, and the fact that he’s taken nearly a week to consider things and still accepted this makes me seriously worry that Lenny might not stand up to the board.

Or maybe he’s just trying to pick his battles wisely; compromise on his own contract but not on transfer backing? Hopefully.

I strongly disagree. A 12-month rolling contract is appropriate.

    Agreed.

If it was good enough for Rodgers it's good enough for Lennon.

Does that make it acceptable, though?

Seems a glaring contradiction to say you have every confidence in someone, but then hand them a contract that seems to be revolve around what happens if they don’t succeed.

If they really believe, let them prove it with commitment. The proof of the pudding on whether they have the confidence they say they do will be seen by the end of the summer.

Just feel ripped off by PL yet again, and I fear Lenny will be too and that it’s already begun.

Point being I don’t think it’s appropriate for any established manager.

I get that we all want to focus on backing Lenny now that he’s in the door, but taking our eyes off the board’s inadequacies is exactly what they want us to do.
