Hate to sound a pessimist. I love Lenny and I believe in giving him a shot to see if he can do it but it's more than likely that something else is afoot here. I'm sure Lenny left last time because he wasn't being given enough respect or funds by the board. As fans we need to keep our eye on the ball. Is PL at his cost cutting again? It strikes me that no one (including our board) are truly happy where Celtic are in terms of all the opposition and might want a more even playing field across the board to revert to pre Sevco times. There was more money to be had all round and clubs were operating on less of a budget. CL group stages were a bonus and I don't think that we were ever expected to go all that far in any European competition. If we managed to find a gem it didn't last long before PL and the board had their greedy mitts all over it. I can see this being a repeat of what happened before. Who will it be? Ntcham is no great loss but the likes of KT, Christie, McGregor and Forrest are essential to our success.

 

I would be interested to know if NL was told he couldn't bring in his own backroom team. Everything about this appointment shrieks "cheap option" and I can't see PL giving the go ahead to millions being spent bringing n the quality we need for the positions we are lacking in.

If NL * this up then his reputation will be tarnished forevermore and after what he has been through for the club, that would be terrible. The board better give him the money he needs!

I think we’ll definitely be looking to cut that wage bill down a bit.

It should be a lot less now than it was with Brendan and his staff, Lustig, Boyata, Burke, Benkovic, Toljan, Izaguirre, De Vries, Allan and Gamboa all off the bill.

Dunno why folk are surprised Lennon's most likely keeping the same backroom staff I think it's been clear for a while that Kennedy's being set up to be our manager one day so he's going nowhere plus the fact they tried to change his backroom staff last time he was here.

Aye i dont have a problem with the rolling contract but you cant use the word commitment

 

Let’s get behind him. Get a right back, a centre back possibly 2, cover for left back and a centre mid, hopefully this shved boy is a player so i don’t think we need too much attacking sense of the game. Lennon does like a striker to hold the ball up in Europe but

 

He is going to incur so many bans he's gonny need the ticket to get back in.
