I find this alone really embarrassing and shows an element of uncertainty from the board. At the very least they could have given him a two year deal. The way our board skimp and low ball is really shameful at times.

 

Rolling contract means he will always have 12 months left on his deal doesn't it? So basically if/when we sack him we have to pay him off for 12 months.

Not in the mood for negativity! Now he has signed a years contract we can look forward to the new chapter our amazing history.

We know Lenny will be chomping at the bit to put stamp on the team. The last time he done that we improved no end. If he is able to do that to this team and keep us moving forward then we are in for exciting times.

I have been shouting for Lenny since the snake left us. I have taken some stick and some have agreed with me. Whatever your view point has been now is the time to get behind him and now we can start judging his second reign. Everything we acheive or don't achieve from this point is 100% Lennon's work. As opposed to working with someone else's team, system and wondering where is long term future lay.

Exciting times. Bring back the thunder Neil

Works both ways if anyone wants him we get compo for the 12 months if he wants to leave he has to give us 12 months, if we sack him he gets paid for 12 months.

Lawwell is a lot of things but he knew what he was doing when he signed Rodgers and his team upto a long term deal with a £9m release clause!
